Creature of Ice| Kyurem x Reader

"Man..it is freezing here isn't it, Choo-Choo?"

"Cu..Cubchoo" The Chill Pokemon walking beside you agreed, sniffing the icy snot back up into its nose. At first, it disgusted you but eventually you got use to his behavior.

On your other side, your Monferno was generating balls of fire in his hands to keep you warm and tried not to burn your clothes in the process. But even he was shivering a bit, so you lent him your scarf.

"Choo! Choo!" Suddenly, your Cubchoo began to run forward. "Hey! Where you going?" You and Monferno picked up your pace, following the bear.

Then he stopped at a weird ice and rock formation. Crystal-like objects were also jutting out from the snowy ground. "What is is, Choo-Choo?"
"Cubchoo!" He tugged on the sleeve where you had your Pokedex in hand, while pointing at the formation.

"Huh? You want me to use my Pokedex?" Cubchoo nodded eagerly.

"Okay," you said, hesitantly raising the device. "But I don't think there's anything here-"

"Kyurem, the Boundary Pokemon: This legendary ice Pokemon waits for a hero to fill in the missing parts of its body with truth or ideals."

Your eyes grew to the size of dish plates. "Mother of Arceus..you're telling me this is-"

"Kyurem indeed-"
"A giant that's sound asleep-"
"But will soon be ours to keep!"

'I know those voices..' Gasping, you, Choo-Choo, and Monferno turned around to see three familiar faces.

"So prepare for trouble~"
"And make it double!"
"To protect the world from devastation!"
"To untie all peoples within our nation!
"To denounce the evils of truth and love!"
"To extend our reach to the stars above!"
"Jessie!"
"James!"
"Team Rocket blast off at the speed of light! Surrender now or prepare to fight!"
"Meowth! That's right!"

"You jerks again?! Wow.." You raised an eyebrow, seeing their now black uniforms. "New look? Pretty sketchy if you ask me."

"Sketchy?" Jessie mocked, scowling at you. "Hah! I'm afraid it's more than our looks that will be intimidating." She taunted, tossing a Pokeball into the air and catching it.

"Ooooh I'm so scared. Shouldn't you be going after Ash's Pikachu or something-" You were cut off by James' laughter.

"You really are an idiot. Our days of trying to catch that twerp are over!" He declared. "We've realized that there are far more potent Pokemon out there than a stupid Pikachu that refuses to evolve.."

"Such as this Kyurem we put to sleep!" Meowth pointed a claw at Kyurem, while he waved a large needle injector filled with a strange liquid in his other hand.

"What?!" You stared at them in shock, before clenching your fists. As you did, your Monferno's flame-tail grew in size. Clearly he felt your anger. "I don't think you guys know what you're up against..putting a legendary to sleep?! Only a mad man would do that!!"

"Oh I think you've got it all wrong," Jessie spoke, "we're not mad..we're smart. We should've done something like this a long, long, LONG time ago!"

"Well I'm glad you didn't, but you're not going anywhere near Kyurem! MONFERNO USE FLAME WHEEL!!" Nodding, the Playful Pokemon emitted a stream of flames from his mouth, which the trio narrowly dodged.

"GO SEVIPER!" Jessie shouted, tossing her Pokeball into the air.

"Ssssseviper!"

Your eyes widened. They actually dodged that blast?

"You're gonna have to try a little harder than that," she smirked. "Seviper, keep these twerps away from our prize."

"Ssseviper!" The poison-type lunged towards you, coiling around you, Monferno, and Choo-Choo. He squeezed you tightly, making it harder to breathe. Escape was futile at this point

"Now if you'll excuse us," James spoke as he took out a Pokeball and walked past you. "We'll be taking Kyurem and harness his incredible power to achieve our goal. Besides.." He turned around to you, unaware of the slowly rising mass of rock and ice behind him. "..an amateur like you is not worthy of a-"

A bellowing roar cut through the icy air, making the ground shake violently. Gasping, James turned around to see a pair of yellow eyes looming over him. Just one growl from the source was enough to send the purple-haired man screaming and running back to Jessie.

"IT'S AWAKE! IT'S AWAKE! WE NEED A PLAN B!!!"

Seviper hissed with fright, letting go of you as he slithered back to his trainer, hiding behind her. 

But you were frozen on the spot. You stared up at the Boundary Pokemon in wonder. So this was the creature those legends spoke of.

With the stomp of his foot, Kyurem sent a wave of icy shards towards Team Rocket, instantly freezing them.
"Yeah! Go Kyurem!" You cheered, until you realized that he was looking your way with that same, cold stare. Choo-Choo and Monferno hid behind you, shaking with fear as they pushed you towards the legendary ice-dragon.

"K-Kyurem..w-we aren't here to hurt you," you began, putting your hands up, "Team Rocket drugged you and were going to capture you while you were asleep but we stopped them and......you probably don't understand me, do you?"

"Quite the contrary, young one."

Your eyes widened as you heard the voice echo inside your head. "W-Was that-?"

"Yes. That was me..some Pokemon can speak telepathically, it is a rare gift to us legendaries. But tell me," Kyurem growled, crouching down in front of you. "Are you going to try and capture me? Even though you've saved me I-"

"I never capture any Pokemon unless they want me to," you stated with seriousness and sincerity in your voice. "They aren't weapons or treasure...they're suppose to be family." As you spoke, you looked down at Cubchoo and Monferno, smiling at them.

"Ah..you speak the truth, young trainer," Kyurem lowered his head. "It's not the truth, just common sense," you giggled, petting the ice-dragon's head. It felt freezing to the touch, even with your gloves on.

"I will go with you...on one condition.." You did a double-take, wondering if you were just dreaming this. Your whole life you have wanted to meet and potentially capture a legendary, but you never expected one to willingly go with you.

"What is your request Kyurem?" You asked eagerly. "Get rid of these..greedy scavengers for me" He told you, looking back at the frozen Team Rocket members.

"Will do. Monferno..let's try that Flame Wheel again!" Nodding, Monferno emitted a stream of fire, melting the icy prison.

"W-We're free!" James gasped. "Finally!" Meowth muttered, shivering. "I-I-I can't feel my legs-"

"Choo-Choo use Icy Wind!" With a sniffle, your Cubchoo shot a massive gust of wind towards Team Rocket. They didn't even have time to react as they were knocked off their feet and into the sky.

"TEAM ROCKET'S BLASTING OFF AGAIN!!" They screamed before disappearing into the snowstorm.

"Glad that's over," you sighed, taking out two of your Pokeballs. "Good job guys. You two deserve a long rest. Return now."

Monferno and Cubchoo high-fived each other, before returning to their homes.

"Thank you for saving me, young one."

You turned back to Kyurem, stowing away the Pokeballs. "Oh no worries. My friends and I deal with them on a daily basis. Oh, and no need to be formal. My name is [y/n]."

Kyurem nodded. "I wish to build this world on truths and ideals..that is why I wish to join you: so you may help me accomplish this task," he revealed. 

"Ohh so that's what the Pokedex meant," you mused. "But why truths and ideals?"

Kyurem didn't say anything, but he stepped back and emitted a glowing fireball of energy, which engulfed him in a bright flash. When you opened your eyes, you gasped: he was much more humanoid-looking, with white, flowing parts on his head and elbows.

Orange wings sprouted from White Kyurem as he looked down at you, levitating in the air. "I help those who seek truth in this world full of lies."

He landed on the ground before another sphere of energy consumed him, this time electric sparks were flying around, making you take a few steps back as a precaution.

Now he took on a similar form, but this time his wings were black and electricity danced around his body. "And also try to help them create an ideal world."

"The legends were true!! It really is you!" You gasped, smiling widely. Black Kyurem chuckled, before he changed back into his original form. "I am indeed, but do you understand now?"

"I do," you nodded, taking out your only Master Ball, which guarantees a capture. They had ceased production after their facilities were sabotaged by Team Rocket. 

"A Master Ball? Are you sure you wish to use that on me?" Kyurem asked.

You nodded. "I'm sure." The ice-dragon lowered his head, allowing you to walk up to him and tap the ball against his forehead. He disappeared inside of it and you let it fall to the ground, waiting anxiously as it began to shake and rattle.

Finally, it clicked.

You have successfully captured a Kyurem.

"Welcome aboard, my friend," you smiled, picking up the Master Ball, before letting him out again. "I do hope using your only Master Ball was worth it, [y/n]," the Boundary Pokemon told you, still skeptical.

"Nonsense," you giggled, tenderly rubbing the beast's snout. "You're worth everything to me."
