Update: Contest will end on either Friday, September 28th or Saturday, September 29th. The winner will be announced on Sunday, September 30th and the October character will begin the following day. I know it seems like you have a while but don't let the tricky numbers fool you. Only a little over a week before Hikaru's month ends!

Hey, everyone! Sorry for being late (only by a day, but still!) Anyway, I had trouble picking the character for the month. Looking back, I saw we had one from RG Veda, two from xxxHOLiC, one from Kobato, one from TSUBASA RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE, one from X/1999, one from CardCaptor Sakura, and one from Chobits. I know what you're thinking—why didn’t you make a poll like for the other ones? Well, I did, remember? I asked you all to name your favorite CLAMP characters and I tallied them up. From now on, your Co-Founder, asdfdasfkj and I will alternate between the characters you’ve chosen. This way, even the obscure characters will be featured and we won’t have too many of one series featured for a year—we want diversity, right? Once the list runs out, we'll look to you guys for help again, I assure you.
So, since we haven’t had a Magic Knight Rayearth character featured yet, why not better than the protagonist herself? (She got the most votes out of the other Knights which is why I chose her. That, and her birthday was last month.) Also, it’s really, really important that you do not submit any deviantations previously submitted into the group for these contests. This is like a 30-day challenge where you challenge yourself to complete something in a month and we don’t want cheaters, do we? Let’s all be fair, and follow the rules, okay?
Character Summary
Hikaru Shidou (獅堂 光Shidō Hikaru) is a fictional character from the anime/manga series Magic Knight Rayearth created by CLAMP. She is one of the three protagonist of the series and represents the element of Fire. Hikaru is the leader of the Magic Knights summoned to save Cephiro. She is often the one encouraging the other Magic Knights to look at the bright side of things. (Source: magicknightrayearth.wikia.com/…)
Contest Info & Guidelines:
Each month, we will feature a character from CLAMP based on your votes and hold a monthly contest where members may send in a piece of art centered around that character. For these contests, you must enter a drawing or a cosplay. We're featuring visual art, so no fanfictions, memes or doujinshi, sorry! Remember, the purpose of the contest is to feature one character at a time, so your entry must only include the featured character. No other characters in the image. Thank you! Please enter new materia to the contest. Do not submit an old deviation already in your gallery. Show your support to the featured character and get those creative juices flowing. ^^ To enter, simply submit your image to the Monthly Mini-Contest folder. At the end of the month, the members vote on a winner and the winning entry will be displayed in our Featured folder for a month, until it is replaced by the next winner at end of the next month's voting. -~-
