Compatibility: Currently only works in 2.4 versions and above (tested up to 2.8.10)

Ten Script-Fu "actions" for GIMP 2.4+. No permissions needed for use. Go over the readme for installation directions and additional information.

The Dawn scripts produce a stylized effect in a variety of hues on dark images. This series was designed to both lighten very dark images and apply a color filter.

Included in ZIP file:
  • Ten color effects scripts
  • HTML readme
  • JPEG Preview Image

Update 4/18/2014:
I have received numerous comments saying that the scripts no longer work with modern versions of GIMP, but I have not found this to be true.  Be sure to follow the readme instruction for proper installation. Unfortunately, I do not know where the directory for Windows 8 systems is, but it should be in a similar location.  Please note that you find the GIMP 2 folder in the Programs Files directory and not the Program Files (x86) directory.

Place the .SCM files into the following location : Program Files/GIMP 2/share/gimp/2.0/scripts

With this update, I have streamlined where the scripts on placed. No longer are they found under the Script-Fu menu, but are now located under the Filters > Color Effects menu. To access the Dawn scripts, go to Filters > Color Effects > Dawn.

I've been so overwhelmed with life lately! @.@ There's always so much stuff to keep track of. I have one kid in elementary school and the other in middle school and there's always something going on.

I've also taken up crocheting and knitting over the past few years so that keeps me distracted. I'd render more fractals and upload more to dA, but it takes at least half a day and I don't want to tie up my computer for that long.

I'm trying to do social media more, but I usually find it depressing...

So what's up with you? Same avatar I see. :p

Wow sounds like you've got a busy, busy life all right! Though children will keep you moving <3

Yeah I have the same avatar. I don't have the heart to get rid of it. I see you do as well. As for me, no children, still single (can't find mr right. I just keep finding mr jerk.) I do a lot of plushie making myself, and other sewing projects. Fursuits as well, those are fun. I still write a lot and find myself missing Kanna so I've been morphing her into an OC to do something original, probably a comic. I've also been working on improving my style and look of my CG stuff. That's pretty slow going but I hope to have something to show for it soon. I've been all over the place I guess. For a while I ran a successful ask blog when Portal 2 was all the rave. Hence all the puppies that cover my dA for the moment.

Bleh to social media, I hear yeah. It IS depressing. So much drama on there it's just nuts. I haven't been active on any forums really either. I'm just always on AIM (under a new account name to get rid of one @$$ that couldn't get I didn't like him and blocking wasn't working.)

Admittedly, I'm still a bit of an anime junky but will always have a soft spot for WHR. I met great people like you through it after all!

Other than that, life has been pretty good. I can't totally complain. I recently graduated Uni with a bachelor in general studies and am now looking for that 'pie in the sky' career the world promised I'd have if I got a degree. *eye roll* So far all I have is student debt, but I'm taking care of it. Yeah, I'd say life is pretty normal. Please don't mind the typing errors, it's pretty late and I've been out all day. X3
