Recently, I picked up my interest in panoramas again. It turned out I had some panorama files laying around that still needed stitching, and I was eager to try out a new application. So I dug up the images shot from the Dom tower in Utrecht, fired up Stitcher Unlimited, and started stitching 'till it bled no more! (not really, but it sounded cool).
And that's where the trouble started....To give you an insight: I created a 232 Megapixel file. Yes, that's 232 MILLION pixels. In my case that meant a resolution of 21.690 x 10.678 pixels.
Also known as: Big. Really.effin'.big.
In fact, it's so big rendering/stitching alone took half an hour, Lightroom took a dump for half an hour, and photoshop crashed twice when I tried to save, and that's on a 3 GHZ quadcore processor with 4 GB's of RAM.
And you know what the best part is? Deviantart says the file is too big (70 MB's).
Now my question to you is: are you interested in this image of Utrecht City as seen from the dom tower? If enough people think so, I'll upload it to an uploading service and post the link here.

Well, that's enough for me. Enjoy!
