Thank you so much to everyone who stopped by my table at Gen Con last weekend! I had a great time and it was really awesome meeting all of you.
Now that Gen Con is past, Aurius is now officially on sale! Aurius is a young adult fantasy novel telling the story of Jacob Marshall, a young man from the modern world learning to be a hero in a fantasy world. As he gets past his initial excitement with an escape from reality and begins to understand what it really means to sacrifice himself for the greater good, it becomes a very trying, humbling, and transformative experience. Jacob's biggest challenge may be facing himself. Called "authentic," "sensitive," and "satisfying" by expert Amazon.com reviewers, Aurius is a monument to the resilience of human nature and a poignant exploration of the psyche of a developing teenager.
Purchase a paperback copy from my website or an ebook version from Smashwords, where you can sample 50% of the book before purchasing, or check out my blog for more information on the story, including a full synopsis, character information, and fanart!

Sketch trades?
I actually did some drawing this week, more than I've done in over a year, and more polished than anything I have drawn in that time. It's reminded me how much I enjoy drawing, so I'm looking for an excuse to do some more, and to stretch my artistic legs a little. Anyone interested in doing a sketch trade?

Hi there
A year since a journal update, you say? Four months since any new art, and ten since anything finished, you say?
Well, in a sentence, I haven't had any new art to share - and indeed, haven't done anything aside from what's already here - because in the last year I moved, started a business and had a baby. Natasha was born last July and has definitely kept me very busy.
I will be attending three conventions this year - Ad Astra in Toronto April 13-15, Gen Con in Indianapolis August 16-19 and Fan Expo in Toronto August 23-26 - but no longer as an artist; I will be representing Brain Lag, my scifi/fantasy novel publishing company. We have t
I'm not dead yet!
Just a brief update to apologize for the dearth of activity here. Hah, it's been so long since I actually finished anything that I completely forgot to add my signature to my new art! I don't want to promise anything since I've disappointed before, but more new art should be coming soon. Now that huge project is out of the way and I'm starting to learn better discipline for handling my free time, I intend to get some art done over the next couple months.
I've also done a major clean-up of my gallery. Haven't deleted anything (yet) but featured art has been trimmed down to a single page. Everything else can still be found in the various
New art forthcoming!
Belated thank you to everyone who visited me at Fan Expo recently! Despite anything else, that's still my favourite artist's alley, and I hope to keep going.
Just wanted to let you all know that there will be new art coming, and hopefully lots of it! After Fan Expo, I got an idea to draw sheets of quarter-page fanart portraits for various games/series I enjoy. I already sketched three sheets this week! The idea is to get as many of these done for next con season as possible, so stay tuned for lots of fanart. I posted sketches of the first two sheets, from Final Fantasy VII and Tales of Symphonia, to my blog, so head on over to take a lo
