Two things. One, Link to the full size image. And two, I wrote the previous journal in Eclipse, which apparently, won't let you view the image in full size, nor can I edit it, and it doens't appear in the OLD DA.
So here's a duplicate entry, sorry about that if this appears twice. So... guess that's another thing I don't like about Eclipse.
So every time DA comes out with an update to Eclipse, I try it for awhile. So far, it's got a few neat features, but my overall impression is... not impressed, and this screenshot should tell you why. The scaling is horrendous. I run a ultra wide monitor, at 3440X1440 pixels, and Eclipse loses it's damn mind. It has no idea how to handle things beyond a certain point and either leaves 75% pure empty void space, or just scales everything up into an ungodly mess. I don't understand why this had to be. It would be simpler for the site just to compensate and make a single row of icons, instead of of trying to keep to 5 in a row and enlarging the ever loving hell out of them. But it's locked into it's row formatting, and this is an issue it takes across a lot of items in the site. It has no idea how to smart grid, and would instead try to scale, to horrific and hilarious results.
It's apparent to me that they're building Eclipse to be mobile friendly, without giving much thought to desktop layouts, especially those with higher resolutions, which is insane, because desktops resolutions are only going to keep increased in pixel density as we get bigger and bigger monitors and better resolutions. Desktops are always going be your core audience in an art community, that's not going to change! I hope they can figure this scaling mess out, because if they don't, the site is going to look like a joke.
...Oh, and they still having fixed the links in the bio section. Dunno why, but you still can't add an Etsy shop. It's weird, and I've reported it multiple times.
