Butch had started to hire voice actors without Nick's consent and asked them for 2 million dollars to advertise The Ultimate Enemy. Butch thought that the special episode would bring in more money through merchandise. However, it didn't make more money and Danny Phantom was a marketing disaster.And thats why the show got cancelled
