He woke with tears moistening his cheeks. He sat up, wiping them away with the back of his hand with a shock-induced quiver to his hands. He'd been hearing those words in his head. Weeks, upon weeks of those words. Words that should have lasted a lifetime, and yet only made up seconds of his fleeting and fraudulent dreams. His exhaustion had been ruling over most of his life since he landed down in Los Angeles that day, ever since the decision to change his entire inheritance had become his goal.
But now it was over, now all of his changes were in motion, and the cards were in the hands of the players. The dealer now just left to watch. Now all he could do was watch, watch and wait for the news to come rolling in. But the only issue was that the news relating to his company did little to quell his need for information about his personal assets.
