Pear Tree by cidaq Pear Tree by cidaq
Basically a bad excuse to paint a pear tree, which I inexplicably felt like doing. I don't even like pears that much. I am more of an apple type.

Ink and watercolour...

Mmm... pears. I love all fruits.

The random teacup and ladder somehow make the piece come together, which is really amazing. I wonder what's the story behind this...

i like your drawings, somehow, they remember the drawings from my childhood, from books of children storys, i'll make an watch on you, but i have to ask you one thing. How do you put your works here? Do you scan them? take a Photo of them? because i see your drawings here stay with the colours, and my works when i scan or take a photo, they lose about 40% of the origional colour in scan and 25% of the colour in photography :s What's your secret? ;o

No secret I'm afraid. I simply scan them too. But the colour hardly ever resembles the original. It usually turns out rather pale in comparison.

When I saw this piece I was reminded of a story my Grandmother told me of shaking her Grandfather's pear tree (whose pears where supposed to be harvested and sold at market) so that she and the other children could eat them.

~♥ Thanks

Very pretty! I love the tiny ladder and the tiny teacup! I also prefer apples, but pears are good too! :)
