I always knew I was different from my litter mates.
From the time I could understand the words of the adults around me I knew I wasn't "right" I looked just like my sisters, tawny gold fur and dark brown almost black stripes, the thing that set me apart were my wings, I wasn't supposed to have them.
Sure my father had wings and so did my brothers, but they were supposed to, they were dragons after all.
I can see I should explain, usually when two different species mate the offspring will take after either one of the parents, in my family my two sisters were tigers, like my mother and my brother was a dragon, like my father.
Me? Well something happened, some sort of mix-up in genetics I guess, so while I looked like my mother what set me apart were the wings, just like my fathers.
Now this wouldn't have been so bad, but as I grew older it was apparent that I was never going to fly like my brother,
