Ronin Arms RA53A by ChroniclesofMan Ronin Arms RA53A by ChroniclesofMan
An improved variant of the RA53, the RA53A reduced the body length of the rifle thanks to improved efficiency in the firing coils as well as lower friction nano firing rails. Additionally, a redesigned clip assembly is more efficient while also sporting an easier grip and easier to identify loading direction.

Really nice design so how powerful is this weapon system. Looks like she hits the 750-900 rounds per minute rate of fire and maybe 3,000-3,750 meters per second for muzzle velocity . So somewhere between 7.62MM and 10.36MM maybe weighing like 2.4- 3 kilograms unloaded and 3.6 kilograms loaded . So yeah looks like a submachine and assault rifle two on one. Rifle looks medium priced and medium common. so yeah looks moderately common but on like AK-47 common more like M4 carbine common. Looks like it can go though all kinds of environments and make it out in one piece. Overall really good weapon hope to see more in the future.

Not to nitpick but its not called a clip its called a magazine
A clip is not the same as a magazine and the two are often use interchangeably which is very common mistake

You're welcome XD
But in fairness, all new weapons it's all about lightness and simplicity. Futuristic weapons in games and anime frequently output complex and faceted edges. To look cool. But real weapons........they're made as thin as can be without sacrificing a given amount of durability.

I'm aware. I did my homework on modern rifles before I started this design (at least in terms of visual styles). I chose to go with a bit more aesthetic to keep the design interesting and also fit my own personal eye/style I've adopted with my ships for CoM.

::shrugs:: Different schools of thought I guess. Thanks again for the links and info though.

And to be fair, the gun is bulky for the sake of the fact it carries a healthy bit of tech including coils (its a rail gun after all!) :)

Actually I think that when it comes to zero-g combat bulkier is better. Plus when a look at both this rifle and 58s it reminds me  AR-548 Scimitar  from "Section 8". Good job as always Josh.
P.S. Can we get any trooper/weapon silhouette for size comparison?
P.S.2 Sorry for my english.
