Warframe Enemy Concept - Grineer Berserker by ChromeFlames Warframe Enemy Concept - Grineer Berserker by ChromeFlames
The Grineer Berserker, a heavily mechanically modified Grineer mountain of a man...

Since the corpus and infested have their power units; the Bursas and the Juggernauts, I decide to conceptualize one for the Grineer. I know, but I feel manics are more akin to regular heavy units since they die too easily and are not much of a threat compared to Bursas or Juggernauts...

I color them red since these guys are the most daring and confident guys in the grineer army, so red would exude this quality haha.

---
DESCRIPTION: Tenno, the existence of the Berserkers is the reason why we keep at sabotaging the enemy. We fought hard, set back countless of twisted research conducted by the Grineer, but we underestimated them; the Grineer are crafty and cunning in securing information, leading our Tenno into heavily guarded strongholds, only to steal and sabotage useless resources whilst the elite keep the most valuable secrets.

And Tenno, because of our hindsight, the Grineer have secretly, but rapidly advanced their technology in Bio-augmentations and Gene Therapy, resulting in extremely vicious, strong and yet, intelligent warriors equipped with the most technologically advanced weapons and armor. But to our fortunes, these new fighters are still at their infancy of development and poses multiple weaknesses we Tenno can exploit:

The Beserkers barely have any flesh in them, mostly replaced by twisted Grineer Machinery plated with Alloy Armor. Thus, Radioactive and explosive weapons have an advantage on them

Though Seemingly invincible, the Berserker carries a lot of weight. Damaging one high enough on the legs will damage the actuators, causing them to drop on their knees, opening them up for finisher attacks, damaging their health significantly

Tenno, the arms wielded by these mechanical abominations are indeed incredibly dangerous, but could be destroyed with enough firepower. But beware, destroying their weapons will send one flying into an uncontrollable rage, haphazardly charging towards you. Will you bear the risks of such strategies, Tenno?

This Grineer seems to be a very stupid clone. Wont lie it would be amazing to see this brute in combat with other enemies. Hell even a boss with very little to no vocabulary understandings.

Actually, quite the contrary for what i planned haha. I was planning this guy to be something like an apex of grineer technology and thus, he'd be smart, or at least have good military tactics (Something like how the big daddies from Bioshock fight)

But yeah, it could be interesting that he's stupid but with his intelligence boosted by implants and once he gets damaged enough, the implant shorts out and he reverts in his dumb animal like aggression, going insane and slapping everybody's face, be it friend or Tenno

Yeah, we need more bosses too haha. But honestly, i'd like to see a vehicle type boss, like a tank or a battlemech based on this drawing :)

A grineer battle tank would be an interesting thing to fight though Im betting its falling apart and has clear points of weakness. The best real world tank that would work for a grineer tank would be a WW2 Tiger tank. It had thick armor plating every were execpt for the back due to the fact the fuel tanks were located back there.

From what Ive learned from Grineer bigger clones tend to be dumber then the smaller counter parts with minor exceptions like Tyl regor and Kela de thaym. It must have something to do with the genes being transfered from the brain and focused more on physical strength. This grineer you made might be smart but the idea of rage taking him over might work. Like before the tenno fight him he mocks them with things like "Tenno, Corpus, It dosnt matter. I'll crush you all the same!" Or similar lines like that.

Hell yeah. Although I was thinking of the Maus prototype tanks or the planned Landkreuzer P1500 monster tanks haha. Nonetheless, Tigers are still badass.

Well, could be good genes making stronger and smarter grineers I guess. The Tubemen of Regor has more lore on this I guess. The Manic Bombards are a good example tho.

I got ideas for lines for the mocking too... :)

Pre battle: "THAT SUIT LOOKS FLIMSY. JOIN US AND GET A REAL POWER SUIT!" "THAT'S A WARFRAME? MY FRAME IS BUILT FOR WAR!" "WHY AM I WAITING IN THIS ROOM. *grineer orders chatter from back* FINE"

Battle time (Pre rage): "WOAH, SHINY" "I LIKE THAT ONE" "HEK SAYS IF I KILL YOU, I GET NEW HELMET"

Rage mode: "GAAAARRRHAAAAHH!!" "GRR GRRR GRRRRAAAAH!" "Why am I doing this. What is the purpose of my existence in this physical plane of existence? I have squirmed into life as nothing but as an insignificant clone among the vast ocean of my kind and all of us obediently-- GRAAAAAAAHHHH DUUUH  AAARRH!"
