I wasnt a Joe kid, so this ones mostly lost on me, but I liked his designs and it gave me an excuse to do another tree/foliage setting, so good times. This was one that I spend what seemed like an eternity to come up with a pose I liked until I finally just settled on one like always.

Happy Holidays everybody!

Warm and Cool Prismas and cool Copics with white watercolor paint on vellum bristol board.

In MY opinion this is another one of your FRAZETTA - Styled compositions. NOT like his work (You are very detailed oriented) but that settle amalgamation of Fantasy and realism. Love

I was a Joe kid, and this is an awesome piece!

I remember that Zartan was a big deal when he came out, because if you put the figure in direct sunlight he would change colors!
Actually, he just turned kind of an off-green color that made him look like he had gotten a hold of a bad burrito, but it was pretty
revolutionary for its time.

Like I said in a previous comment, I want to get to this level in my use of markers. Wonderful stuff.
What are your thoughts on Prismacolors vs. Copics?
ChristopherStevens's avatar
Thanks. Ive been using Prismas the longest, so they're the most familiar and comfortable for me. Copics are fantastic though and I've been trying to use them more and more.

What you did here with the warms vs. cools is frickin' amazing. I also hope that I'm better than you in a few years. =)
