A proper Artz filled send off!

City of Heroes Artists Unite!

So as most of you already know our beloved City of Heroes is being sunsetted by NCSoft and is scheduled to go dark on November 30th. --> na.cityofheroes.com/en/news/ne… <--
As a 7+year veteran I feel as if I am losing a best friend for no good reason that I can see. While it's difficult to express how bummed I am by this
it's really only half the issue... without the game to sustain it the CoH fan art forums (and the great community there) will most likely fade away as well.

I'm sure some will migrate to other forums but it just won't be the same for me. The 606 forums was like a 2nd home to me
for the last three years and the great people there helped get me inspired to start creating art once again, for that I am very grateful.

Now that the realization has sunk in my first thought is that the 606 deserves a worthy send off! I've done many contests and given away dozens of pieces
of art (both my own and some donated by others) as have many others 606ers before me. I think we should come together and have one
last grand event with fun contests, perhaps a few ingame costume contests and of course lots of chances to win gift Artz!
I am willing to host and will of course contribute art as well, my questions to you then are:

1. Are you for having a grand day of artz to commemorate the CoH forums and would you attend/participate?
2. How many artists out there would be willing to contribute a piece of prize artz to the cause?


**Edit:** Over ½ a dozen artists have already volunteered in the first day to do one or more pieces of prize art and a couple have
expressed interest in a collab to create a unique piece to give away. Thanks everyone so far you guys and gals are great and if you know of any other
artists who have done City of Heroes art that are active pass the word along. I will be putting together a list with links to galleries/sites so they can plug any sales or just
let people know they are open for commissions. I expect there will be a fair number of people looking to memorialize their favorite characters soon so updating your journals would be a good idea.

A potential Halloween date/timeframe/theme is being kicked around as well.
This will give enough time to get things setup and leave the contest winners time to
gather refs of their characters while leaving artists several weeks to complete their prize art.
