When I first came across a handful of these works you have done, they made me feel a lot of things really. Some of them were of interest and surprised like feelings. They mainly came from that I never really seen anyone take a biological look on these creatures like you have. :) please keep up the great work.

I will admit. These diagrams an interesting idea but you really are putting a lot of brain on mystical creatures. Also, any I idea how these critters fit in a Pokeball?

pretty awesome. Whenever I think about fantasy creatures I also always wonder about their anatomy and their natural habitat and stuff xD I guess it comes with being a biologist.

Very interesting work. But I think, if you want to do it in a more realistic way, you should draw the eye holes in the skull bigger, for exemple. That's just a friendly hint. I'm looking forward for more. (:

Nice info! So Charmanders are highly intelligent, and a matriarchal society? That kind of makes a lot of sense!

I've tought about this before. Its nice to see someone try to do it. However a couple of things.

First, if charmander body provides fuel and oxigen to the flame, which you seem to agree on that. Dont you think that it makes sense that if the flame turns off by external factors such as water or other components it doesnt actually make him die but just weaken him, as long it can keep the flame burning later, since its not the life source but just a part of the system that keeps him hot? And of course the flames intensity is indication of how well he eats and health.

Finally about his development. Arent Charizards supposed to be the adult form? Do they ever interact with their final evolutions or they are a separate breed? I just want to know what you think of course.

I have to say I really admire your work. Though I do have a small issue with charmanders' behavior profile. They are clearly reptilian as I am sure you would agree: char- (sala)mander (Cham)eleon (li)zard. The "pack" lifestyle you describe is much more in line with the hyena, a mammal. Though I do agree with the aspect that the females would be dominant given that with most reptiles the females are typically larger and more powerful.
There is even a pokedex entry describing their final form, charzard, as being a loner who would fly in search of powerful opponents.
