Has anyone else had the problem where they do a piece of art, and look at it, and keep looking at it, and eventually, you just go from loving it to hating it, and you don't want to post it anymore?

Having that problem now.

Hate it when I put work into pieces that I liked at one point that will never see the light of day.

Oh of course, I think that's the usual state of things for me since I'm SUCH a nooby 'artist' anyway. :D

It's easy to overdo things, sometimes it's probably best just to let a piece be what it is rather than doing constant tweaks and changes to it?

Oh yeah. Sometimes it helps to have an account on the side to post the things i'm torn on.

Ugh. That has happened to me a couple times with, not just some of the art pieces I have done, but also my stories. It freakin sucks! =/

been there many times. a lot of it probably comes from low self-confidence, but another thing is that if you spend long enough looking at something, you will eventually get sick of it. staring at the same picture for four hours straight, getting frustrated by problems you don't have the technical skill to really fix, will inevitably bring about a level of resentment.

but! i can very definitely say that i appreciate your art and the work you put into it. and, at the very least, know that you're able to recognize your own skill level and pinpoint what exactly you need to work on. some people are either ignorant of their shortcomings or just straight up deluded. we're all constantly improving!
