- Orsino was originally not really supposed to be a boss battle if you sided with the mages, though there would be a point where you learned that he was bffs with Quentin. He kind of implied that you could have then chosen to fight him, but basically that the Orsino battle was not originally there. The only reason why Orsino turns is for gameplay reasons. (They wanted another boss fight.)
I blame the rush. AND the consoles >_> But I blame consoles for everything that I don't like in today's rpgs. I don't have much experience with jRPGs but this game sooo reminded me of Final Fantasy 7... The story You can't really affect, the fights with enemies appearing from nowhere, the way Fenris was designed (!!!) and the boss at the end of every level. Of course for the grande finale there had to be two bosses. It's kinda obligatory ._.
And now take Fallout New Vegas. Almost unlimited freedom of choices and what do I hear from console users? "Gaaaaah, how can You play this game? It's so not user friendly... must have been designed for the PC." Yes, because it was.
It makes sense, it really does =/ I hear from people who play DA on consoles that it doesn't "play right" for them, but most of the fandom that love playing it? They play it on the PC. It's just better on the computer.
