Pretty darn nice - I like your style. A couple of things could be worked on, like someone already mentioned, but overall I think this is a great representation of a great character.

I don't really think so; it's just harder to get used to the new guys over characters that've been around for more'n a decade. By the way, awesome pic; I generally don't have the patience to do backgrounds like that. It looks great and sets a mood.

Thanks! I personally like drawing backgrounds to act like a distraction because my figure work is not very good (trade secret). This new ultimate version of DOA looks to be the definitive version, with some very lovely ladies joining the cast. hahahaha

Yeah, I'm really psyched about it. When DOA5 came out, it exceeded my expectations. The only thing I said then that I wished they'd done differently was added Momiji and Rachel instead of the Virtua Fighter characters. I'd wanted them in it since playing Ninja Gaiden 2 and they fit since they're already associated with three of the existing cast. When I heard they were making a version with them in it after all, that was an immediate preorder decision. Less'n a month now.

Hahha, I tried to reproduce the pose, draw with my hands in funny angles. I nearly broke down :o

you can do what i did and just copy fingers from other artists until you get the hang of it... *looks around guiltily*

what gets me is the fingers. I just can't get fingers to look like anything other than weird sausage-y things! Copying is great as a learning... but in the end, foreshortening is a killer. :(
I'll practice again.
