My Bio

I have an original autism diagnosis. I was diagnosed at the age of 2 1/2, but I recovered with the help of early intervention therapy.

I also have OCD. While I don’t have an official diagnosis, I simply know I have it. I’ve had it since 3rd grade, which is when I clearly remember it. However, it didn’t fully manifest until my high school years. Since then, every two years, I’ll have another flare-up. Due to the stigma surrounding mental illness, I was embarrassed to discuss my OCD in high school. Now, I’ve been more open about it.

In addition, I have five specific phobias. (Again, no official diagnosis.) Two of these phobias are of wasps and roaches. In high school, I was laughed at for my phobia of wasps. This is one reason why I dreaded field day in high school. (Yes, my school still had it!)

I sometimes wonder why God would allow me to have autism, OCD, and these phobias. I was reminded of God’s words to Paul in 2 Corinthians 12:9. “My grace is sufficient in you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” I‘ve since become more outspoken about these things, and I seek to remove the stigma surrounding mental illness.

I enjoy art, reading, watching movies, playing video games, listening to music, riding roller coasters, and playing escape room games. These are where I get inspiration for my art. I also get inspiration from the Bible, Christianity, and my life experiences. I want to continue posting my artworks to this website.

Every artwork has a story, and I want those stories to be known. So, I will often tell the stories in the descriptions.

The process of making art is not always fun, but my successful pieces have turned out good in the end. I hope that you enjoy my art. God bless!

Enjoy the Real World

Enjoy the Real World

I find that most people (myself included) are immersed in our electronic devices on a daily basis.  However, I feel better when I unplug from my devices every once in a while.  One of the best ways that I unplug is by taking a walk around my neighborhood.  Doing this and observing the scenery give me a deeper appreciation for God and His creation.  Physically, mentally, and emotionally, I feel better when I go walking. Once when I was out walking, I realized that God did not make us to live in a virtual world.  If He really wanted us to live in a virtual world, He would have every right to create one.  But He didn't.  And that's saying somet

The Storms of Life

The Storms of Life

We all have storms in our lives that we go through.  Whether it’s the loss of a loved one or the rough transition to adulthood, no one can admit that they won’t go through any storms in life.  But who or what will you turn to when times of trouble happen?  Maybe it’s your favorite sport.  Or maybe junk food.  Or your electronic devices (as it has been the case with me).  But, as I have learned from reading the Bible and my life experience, nothing and no one except Jesus can bring us out of these hardships and heal our hurt.  If we have put our trust in Jesus as our Lord and Savior, He will guide us through these storms. If We're Honest

If We're Honest

If anyone has lost a loved one, I understand how you feel.  My paternal grandfather died a year before today.  I see text messages about happy memories go back and forth between my family members, but I don't want to be reminded of my pappap's passing.  I don't want to feel any emotional pain.  I also have college midterms, so I only have so much time, and I feel like I don't have enough time to deal with the emotional pain. Often, I try to hide my grief by acting sarcastic, moody, and sometimes snarky.  However, I feel that art can be an healthy outlet to express my true feelings.  I have a drawing that I'm currently working on.  I go to a
