Rhapsody​She sang.
She sang, and her voice flowed
over him,
flowered in his mind's eye,
and her words were spun with a symphony of sensation -
spider weaving her web;

Often times Catholics are called pagans and idol worshipers for depicting Christ, expressing him in religious art, and expressing him in statues. This is true in depicting the saints, angels, and the like.
I find these arguments very strange. The most commonly cited “proof” is from Ex 20:4 and similar passages: “Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth” (KJV).
This is certainly true, especially when considering that the Israelites fashioned for themselves a golden calf and, in various ages, many other idols of Cannanite, Babylonian, and Assyrian gods. In these times God was without image. From Genesis and throughout the Old Testament God is not described as having proportions or form but rather as expansive, immense, and beyond comparison. Group Rules:

1. Be Respectful: We want to keep this a positive group and we don't want people leaving because they feel persecuted or unwanted. That means NO personal attacks on individuals or Christian groups. Please be respectful of denominational differences.

2. Submissions do not necessarily have to have a Christian theme. However, if your submission contains nudity, gore, profanity, or mocks Christianity or any other religion it will not be accepted. This includes profanity in the artist comments. Hopefully we won't have to worry about that though!

3. There is a limit of 5 submissions a day per person.

4. If you have any concerns about a member of the group, or something about the group itself, please contact an admin first by sending the group a note (or contact one of us personally through a note). We will sort things out the best that we can.

5. Help Spread God's Love!: Send prayer requests, encourage other group members, ect.

6. Have Fun!: Even if you aren't the greatest artist or writer go ahead, be creative, you may surprise yourself.

I am very sorry for the long absence, but I have been through a year and a half of having to set many Internet things aside to deal with some personal issues.  I never planned on being gone this long.  I was abandoned by all the other admins and I have found I do not have the time to be sole admin of more than one group.

Since I could not find anyone to be co-founder or help with admin duties, I am going to CLOSE this group for the time being.  PLEASE NOTE:  Any new submissions will time out.  The founder of this group has long been gone and only she had some capabilities so I cannot close submissions.  I can close more members joining and that has been done.  

With Eclipse hovering over our heads, I didn't want to restart the group because I may have to leave DA unless they change the high contrast background that gives me headaches, and the total glitchiness of that format freezes my computer.

It anyone is interested in being a co-founder, please note my personal account.
