I've mentioned before how I think the 'talking to myself' bit is a cheat, so I have to lampshade it when I actually do it myself.

Every one talks to them selves, it's just a matter on weather or not it's in public or not.
ChrisTheS's avatar
Not necessarily out loud, though.
You're talking to yourself because someone was too lazy to draw fluffy thought bubbles
ChrisTheS's avatar
The fluffy thought bubbles look terrible on oblongs.  If I'd gone with ovoid speech balloons I'd probably use them more often.
I wouldn't notice anyway. I talk to myself all the time.

Cookie Cutter, a jungle planet with hostile terrain and weather of course it would look good on the postcards. That was sarcasm if you didn't get it... :XD:

Lol, nope it wasn't but the planet doesn't care.

I like the background in the two first panels. It gave atmosphere to the planet.

Also, She's a video game character in a forest. Where is the labyrinth with the stupid enigma ? ;)
ChrisTheS's avatar
I'm not familiar with that reference...

In every videogames (zelda, final fantasy, adveenture games ...), if there is a forest, you have to find your way in a maze, often following some kind of indice, like sounds or something.
It's kind of a cliché. ;)

I'd forgotten that episode :)  I sometimes wish I didn't have nearly 9000 unwatched episodes of various shows in my queue, so I could re-watch NewWho and be able to remember it as well as I do Classic...

Of course you're thinking out loud. With no other characters with you we need exposition. Otherwise it'd be four panels of you at different angles and facial expressions.

Who says there are no other characters with her? :P

:P I talk to myself all the time. Some days (bad ones), I think it's the only way to get any kind of intelligent conversation.

Story-wise, yeah, it's a bit of a cheat, but... I dunno, of the various ways in which someone could cheat... it's just "barely" a cheat... IMO anyway.

There are two rhetorical tricks I consider the epitome of laziness: making characters talk to themselves, and using the word 'magic' to describe a story or song inside the story or song.

Now I've done both of those in this comic, but I did it on purpose, which according to the popular definition makes it irony :P

And yet, Cookie's weapon makes an appearance in one panel more. Consider it a win, I would.
ChrisTheS's avatar
Well, then you consider that a good chunk of the detailed part is hidden by the holster :P
SerpensVolucer's avatar
Well, then I shall anxiously await the moment she shoots someone.

Hey! She didn't even say, "Things can't get any worse!"
ChrisTheS's avatar
Part of her schtick is that she acts like a videogame character instead of a cartoon character, so 'things getting worse' is actually expected :)

Hey, Cookie Cutter. This is your conscience. Can I be your companion?
