Description

So here it is... my new 💫SUPERGIRL💫 outfit fully revealed. It took a while getting there, but I'm pretty pleased with the way it turned out. I kind of like the latest incarnation of the costume from the TV show, but it wasn't really me, so I took the classic comic book version as a starting point and added a little spice. As you can see, the biggest departure is the stocking and high heels combo. I did experiment with some boots a la the TV show, but the color was off and they just didn't look right. I also considered wearing a leotard instead of the top you see here, but screwed up when I was sewing the cape to it, then damaged it pulling out all the stitches, so it had to go. I think the top looks better anyway! I get that you can buy Supergirl outfits off the shelf, but putting together my own meant I could make it that little bit different and gave me a great sense of achievement 😃.
