Blue Streak

   
The EDF Aqualance started life as a background vehicle seen flying by outside EDF HQ in the only partially completed pilot episode. Not putting too much thought into it I merely kitbashed the existing Starlance  to create an aqua fighter.

As the story of the pilot episode was completely rewritten into what became "Into the abyss" the role of the Aqua-lance became far more important as they where required to locate a crashed ship on the ocean bed.

Unfortunately, instead of designing a new craft I decided to stick with what I had and the end result was pretty naff coupled with my rather primitive modelling.

This new version takes the basic shape and elements of the original and gives them a brand new aquatic feel. A major thing that bugged me about my old design is that there are no thrusters and therefore very little ability for the craft to turn bar flaps. In this version i've tackled this problem by having the ability to direct the flow of the on coming water through the intake out via the "Gills" on the side.

Not much else to say about it. A quick wee doodle.
