I love this sketchy style, I can never get how to make a digital picture seem so sketchy! And I love the expression, she is a really cute and so happy it makes me smile too!

It always seems so tricky to find a mid-ground between too much contrast and muddles of grays…but this has amazing balance and is such a refreshing technique to study the face. Quite gorgeous!

Impressive technique! I'm stunned by your ability to create such a vivid character with entirely straight lines scribbled in greyscale.
That's definitely something you don't see every day! :la:

Love it. Limitations are actually so helpful sometimes when trying to get a good workflow. I will add this technique to my artist workout jar deliat.wordpress.com/2014/07/0…
*a workout technique inspired by some of your podcasts. On a sidenote, I listen to the artcasts all the time when I do actual workout at the gym. I get so happy when I see a new episode.

Thanks for the addition to the artist workout jar! That's awesome!

LOTS of new episodes in the works. We have a bunch of new interviews recorded and editing has commenced on several of them. Amazing guests all around. Stay tuned!

I love how you can create a portait with rough strokes and it turns out extremely well. That's been one of the tough things for me, to utilize harder brushes for portraits and such. Also, when I first saw this piece, I thought it was somebody I knew. Spitting image of her. Fantastic job as usual!
