The word is being spread on Zombie Dickheads. You can read about where to read about it here!
Hey everybody! I know you've all seen it in my gallery, but just in case you want to read it with greater ease, you can check out the preview on the Dickheads website here.

Things are really gearing up for the book's release in Oct.. I'll be posting more news on where people can get it soon!
Yes, after two and a half months of work, the first Zombie Dickheads one-shot is complete and on its way to the printers! Planning on having it ready for a bunch of shows in Oct. and Nov.. You can check out my schedule of appearances here.

I'm doing a limited-edition first printing of 500 that'll be signed and numbered. It'll be $10 US, or, for just $20 more, you can get a book, along with a sketch of yourself as a Zombie Dickhead in the back. The books will be available at the convention appearances and on my website.

It's been a while since I've done some creator-owned work, and I'm excited to be able to share it with everyone.
Hey all, it's your friendly neighborhood Chris Moreno, pulling an all-nighter, as has been the usual for the past month and a half. I've been hard at work finishing the art for the Zombie Dickheads one-shot. It's one thing drawing a comic, but it's a whole 'nother thing writing, coloring, lettering it, and laying it out, too! But I'm really happy with how it's turning out, and I hope you'll be also! In the meantime, there's an interesting little update on the Dickheads website. Check it out!
Some new Zombie Dickheads news -- we've got a blog site setup for news and updates regarding the book.  Check out!  I haven't made a formal announcement about it yet.  I'm letting you guys see it first.
I was lucky enough to get interviewed by the lovely Susan Coffey for deviantART as part of their coverage of SDCC 2011. I talk about Zombie Dickheads and art, both regular and deviant.  Check it out!  Thanks to Susan and $techgnotic!
I just got back from Comic-con and was overwhelmed at the response from the DeviantArt community in Artist's Alley, both in the site's sponsorship of the space, and in meeting the many of you who are members.  Thanks so much to Angelo, Ron, and all of the volunteers at DeviantArt's computer and interview setup, for re-energizing one of the most important parts of the San Diego Comic-con experience.  Without comics creators, there's no comics, right?

While I was at my table, I was approached by the fine folks at FEARnet to talk to me about my favorite horror comics, and also about my new book Zombie Dickheads.  Check it out!
Want to see the Zombie Dickheads running around in your town? Send pictures of your city (local hangouts, points of interest, landmarks, etc.) to! One of the things I want to do in the book is use real places as the locations for the stories, since it is a road trip of sorts. If I choose your town as the setting, I'll also draw you into the story. If you love your town and want to see it zombified, or you hate your town and want to see it wrecked to shit, it's a win-win!
It's a new year everybody, and with a new year comes some new, uh... news.

Zombie Bomb Vol. 4: Dark Daze, featuring the first appearance of Zombie Dickheads, is here!  Well, it's not right here, it's for sale at the Terminal Press website, here.

I know a few of you here have been on the lookout for this baby, and I've been looking forward to it coming out in print.  It's beginning of a brand-new creator-owned project for me and a fantastic anthology featuring work by other amazing comics creators, to boot!

Best to you all, and may 2011 bring you good fortune and great art!

The final chapter of me and Matt Nixon's remake of the cult classic horror film is in stores!  We pulled out all the stops on this one!

Also, got some more Zombie Dickheads news coming soon...

This week in comics, I've got Motel Hell #2 from IDW, of which I did the interior art, and I've also got a story appearing in the new Hack/Slash: Trailers 2, written by comics goddess, Gail Simone!  It's a double Moreno month, bitches!
My new project, Zombie Dickheads, debuting in the Zombie Bomb anthology from Terminal Press is finally done and being prepped for print!  I can't tell you guys how excited I am that the thing is finally real and ready to show to the public!  It's all going down in the pages of Zombie Bomb 4: Dark Daze, coming out in time for the holidays!  Check out the Terminal Press site: for more details.
Hoody-hoo!  I'm a traveling fiend this week.  First came Baltimore Comic-con this past weekend, where I did a very fun IDW panel, talking Motel Hell, among other things.  Now I'm off to Atlanta, GA for my triumphant return to Dragon Con-- the country's foremost fan-friendly sci-fi, fantasy, comics con and 4-day costume ball!  There's no other show like it and I'll be there along with my fellow Garage Art Studio mates, Tone Rodriguez, Tony Fleecs, Mark Dos Santos, and Lauren Perry!

I'll have 4 new prints from my upcoming book, Zombie Dickheads on hand (see gallery), along with others.  I'm also going to be doing plenty of sketching, too.

The biggest thing I'm looking forward to are the costumes.  For those of you who've never been, Dragon Con is one of the best shows for seeing cosplayers from all walks of life strutting their colorful stuff across 4 hotels!  I'm constantly amazed with the artistry and creativity these folks display in dressing up like their favorite characters, and even their own original creations.  I'm totally psyched!
So I can finally talk about the new book I've got coming out from IDW, a retelling of the 80's horror classic MOTEL HELL!  Farmer Vincent and his sister Ida are back at it again! They live to serve their guests at the Motel Hello... Take from that what you will.  It's 3 issues of crazy, koo-koo, pig-mask-wearing, chainsaw-slingin' madness, brought to you by writer Matt Nixon, myself on art, Tom Smith on colors, and with covers by Tim Bradstreet, Zach Howard, and yours truly!

First issue ships Oct. 6th.  Order it through Diamond Previews, code: AUG10 0371

Here's the solicitation text:

"Welcome back to America's favorite cinematic psycho siblings, Vincent & Ida Smith as these two insane farmers recruit some new prospective "crops" for their special garden. A group of wine snobs are flown in to their Napa Valley winery for the time-- as in last-- of their lives!"

I've got the first 5 pages up in my gallery, check it out!

Not long after I posted Zombie Dickheads here on DeviantArt and on Facebook, my pal Melanie Jordan over at Imagine Magazine was dying (no pun intended) to learn everything she could about the project, and sent me over an interview!  You can read it here!
