Finally updated my artstuff, but there's still tons more. Maybe another night.
I think I might try to sell some of my art this summer, since finding a job's not an option because I'm going to be out of town so much due to preplanned family stuff. I'm going to be helping out coach at two chamber music festivals (go team cello!) but that won't pay very much at alllll. So, selling art.
Current plan is to do some music-themed ones, and try to display them at the local string instrument shop? Not giving names because, oh yeah, I'm paranoid :3 And/or I might try to sell on etsy.com but I don't know, I think it's really difficult to start out sell
so i've been doing a lot of paintings/drawings in art recently, but i'm hella paranoid and thus am wary of sharing them. lame, i know. i guess i could cover them in copious signatures, etc. but then that's lame too... so i just compensated by uploading only the little paint doodles etc. .
also college apps = taking over. man.
today this girl in my art class was like, "i'm switching out because i can't stand to sit next to you; your art skillzz make me feel bad."
well, she phrased it a little differently, but still.
i feel really bad! i can't believe i made somebody want to switch out of a class, but really, i think it was just an excuse to switch out, period. anyway, i - i don't know what to do, besides, she could just MOVE if it's that big of an issue.
um so i'm in art studio, which is SWEET because you can pretty much do whatever you want. i dig that.
Oh cool, I see you! <3 A cellist eh (LOL I should have probably guessed from your username, DUH MICHELLE). You probably hear this a lot, but cellos are legit the awesomest strings of the lot. I should know, I played the whiny whiny violin for years XD. ONE DAY. ONE DAY I SHALL TAKE UP YOUR BEAUTIFUL AND YET INCREDIBLY BADASS INSTRUMENT. ;__;
Hahaha thanks! I do hear it a lot, but it's kindaaa true jk, sort of. You should start playing! If you've already played violin you have a head start - the bow hand (especially the pinkie) is pretty different, as are the strings obviously, but having a foundation in a string instrument is super helpful.
