2 years. It's been two years since I've been on here. Looking back on some of my old art, I can see I've changed, but looking at my newer stuff I can't help but feel it isn't enough. It's been somewhere between 8-10 years since I started to draw, and sometimes I ask myself why I'm not better. Is there a technique I'm missing? I've read dozens of tutorials and books. Am I not devoting enough time to it? I draw for 6-8 hours a day. Are these things not enough? What am I missing? Is this as good as I'll ever be? I have so many questions, but nobody to ask. So, I've decided to come back here, to where I feel I got the most input (however little it was). Maybe if I post more often someone will notice and be able to give me some answers. That's what I hope at least. Because like I said, after 8+ years, shouldn't I be better ?

So, I was looking back at some of my old drawing (both pencil/paper and tablet) and I noticed that I have gotten better. Much better than I thought I did, especially on the tablet. This is a BIG boost to my motivation, and though I may not be where I would like to be, I know I'm getting there.
I've started to feel hesitant about the practice poses I've been doing. It's been a long time concern of mine that I'm doing something wrong, and if I keep practicing doing it wrong I'll end up learn how to do it properly and then end up having to re-learn it all over again.
I've decided that when I post a practice pose image I'll only be posting it in a "Base" form, (no hair, clothes, details of that sort), for the time being. Maybe every 5-10 I'll try adding different details and and dressing it up more so I still get practice like that in while still focusing on learning anatomy and getting used to doing various poses.

So, with my wife gone :(  and a lot more free time on my hands I've come across a site called posemaniacs (Old to some, new to me) and it looks like a good way for me to practice different posses as it will give me a better range of things I feel comfortable drawing. That means I should be posting more here.

WOW, it has been... Quite some time, no? Had some stuff I had to deal with, but hopefully I'll be able to start posting more here (and hell who knows, maybe people will actually look it xP). Anyway, to anyone who happens to be reading this, I'm back. =D

I've been looking over my art lately and I think I may be nearing limit, and by that I mean I don't think I'll get much better, at least not with a regular pencil and paper. I dunno, It just seems that I'm not getting ANY better, maybe it's just me though. I'll still be posting here, but for how much longer, I can't say. It just bothers me that I'm not as good as I know I can be, even after all the practice I've been doing lately. It might just be a hill, but  It could be a wall, and if that's the case I'll be needing a new tool to move on.

I've come to a  realization lately as to why I don't draw much, or at least not posting them as much. Shading. I can never seem to get it right, I see what it SHOULD look like in my head, but it just never turns out the same. And my line art can be... Messy (I smug my paper a lot :/ ) so just posting the pencil line art is out of the question at the moment ('til I get better). I might try just posting it uncolored until I can get one of the other two right, depends on how I think it looks. Just gotta stop being so hesitant about posting pictures here, I don't suck that bad, right?

I've decided to start a comic up! It will be based around the sonic characters of me and my friends (Amber, Dash, Eino, XL) how they met, and other miscellaneous adventures that they have. I haven't come up with a name for it yet, but I'm working on it (feel give suggestions, but don't feel obligated. :P). I'll update it 2-3 times a week, depending on how busy I am. The first page will be up this week (I'd like to have a name for it before I post it), so if your interested stay tuned. :)

Wow, just wow... It seems like it's been forever since I've been on this site. Even long since I put up some art, though I have been drawing, but pictures are hard to put on a computer without a scanner, Ya' know? Hopefully I'll be able to get one soon. :/

I got a laptop not to long ago, it's kinda nice to be able to be able to do what I want when I want. But it also kinda sucks 'cause now I don't know what to do. xD I also got an xbox, and a few games and it's been kinda fun. Also been playing an MMORPG called Grand Chase for quite some time now, I play it alot. lol

Last november I got a job working over at Toy's R Us for a few month's, seasonal work. Been out trying to find a new job so I can get my girlfriend to come out here instead of vice-versa. Either way I have to find a job, I have to admit it was fun working.

I might be putting up a few things soon, if I can find a scanner to use and if I find any of them that I feel are good enough to be seen by others. I have gotten better, just... Not as good as I would like, still not very good at shading, and overall my drawings still don't turn out the way they look in my head. Maybe one day. But, like I said, I should have something up soon I hope.

Oh by the way, hello to every one of my friends who reads this. I know I haven't been very talkative, like, AT ALL, but I haven't forgotten about you. If ya feel like talking I'm mostly on yahoo now, Feel free ta bug me if ya want. I'll try to post here more often, just so you know I haven't fallen off the face of the earth... lol

  • Drinking: TAP water. (That's right, from the faucet.)
Wow, been a while since I wrote in this thing. Anyway, I've been planning on past some new picture (When I can use the scanner), and maybe some character bios (Eino, Juel, Etc.) as well as maybe starting up a comic based on my character Eino, I'll make maybe 10 or so pages and see after that if it's worth my time. All this is a big maybe since I have to share the computer with 4 other people and I have online schoolwork to do (I go to DeVry.). That and I've been playing combat arms a lot lately, which is fun (I'm a staff sergeant grade 2, yay me. If you play to, feel free to let me know.) Also planning on getting a laptop to help with the whole time thing. (Any suggestions as to what kind I should look at would be nice, but are not necessary. Just looking for something that would be good for doing work with 3D design programs and stuff of that sort.) Also been learning how to do many different effects with photoshop that I will be using in some of my new drawings. Lastly, I would like to say hello to any of my old SOTA Sonic Club whether they read this or not. ¬_¬(Crew maybe? o.o Whatever). 'Cause it's been a while since I've talked to any of them but Asha (ObbyGotchi990). Especially Jay. (eiken-master-jay). May have hated high school, but those guys were awsome.  :D
