Weeelll, a lot has happened in the last few months. I went to Chicago (awesome trip, terrible city, terrible state), I graduated high school (whoo-hoo), I got a job (I hate it), and I decided on a career path (massage therapy and spa practitioner)!


Sooo what's going on now? Well, my school is in Florida, so I'm still working out the kinks of moving to there from Missouri. So far, so good though. Let's see, I'm in the process of illustrating a book -- Raising Demons and Other Hazards of Marriage by Natalie Sanders. That's exciting...I really need to crack down on it though, now that I actually have the time. On the 18th, I am going to California with one of the most awesome girls I know. I'm really excited; I'm ready for a little vacation. I'm in high hopes right now that everything s falling into place...I'm ready to get my life going.

As a personal update, my International Baccalaureate examination is next Sunday! AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!! I need another week. Geez. I have so much to do between now and then. Busy busy busy busy! New series on its way! Sorry I haven't posted much! >_<

  Day six of Grease rehearsals. Rizzo's fun to play. All sarcasm and sass with a dash of bitchiness. Whoo-hoo. And in the high-school version, that's about all there is to her! (WHOO-HOO!!!! :bademoticon: ) The next two days of rehearsal are the ONLY days off I'm going to have from the production until the performance dates near the end of February. Definitely keeping busy! I've got a Shakespearean rendition of Star Wars to direct for a Readers Theatre performance just a few days after Grease is over and done with. I can't start the rehearsals for that until the 31st, but we should be all right. As if that were a lot (occupying Monday-Thursday with Grease and Fridays with Star Wars), I signed up to audition for a murder mystery dinner theatre (the performance of which is in March) AND I have a choral ensemble to take part in (Yay!!).
   MOREOVER!   in terms of the visual art world, I've got 1/4 oil paintings finished for my dreamy sky/landscape series. I started the 2nd today, and it should be done in the next couple days. They don't take long at all. I'll get photos of them up soon, hopefully. Uhhh...what else, OH, the art work I have GOT to tackle at home: wire sculpture and more Coffeecolours. I tell ya, they don't take long once they're drawn, but getting them just right. Geez. My art teacher is smuggling one to a show, and it's one I'm not overly fond of. OF COURSE. I'm planning on talking her into taking a different one tomorrow. To wrap up the update, I've also got a sort of mixture of visual and performing arts to prepare for. A friend of mine have done a few large scale paintings -- in about 45 minutes, and it has been suggested that we create one near the end of the school year for a big event as a sort of performance. We agreed to it, so we've got to work on getting a clear idea of what we'll do for the show.
   I just want to say that I'm not complaining about any of this. Yeah, it's a LOT of work (I've got all my school work etc. on top of it), but I love it. Maybe I'm a little masochistic. I know it's going to make me a little stressed, but at least I'm DOING something, you know? :bademoticon: I'm keeping myself busy with things that I enjoy.

    So just a personal update here. I've gotten a few commissions recently -- that's been nice.   I've got a big order to fill as of today. Thankfully, the paintings will be small. 8x10 is a pleasant size. Anywho, I've been working on a horror/thriller novel. I'm FINALLY starting to make some real progress on it past the ideas. Yaaaay.     At any rate, on the more personal level, I've been a little down lately. I suppose that, more than anything, I feel lonely. I make it a point to dote on all my friends...that way, I can disperse my love and making them happy makes me happy. However, I've been dying for a good cuddle. Seriously. Hugs are one thing, I love them, but still...I want that "bursting with mutual emotion" kind of hug. I want to have a focal point of my doting in addition to the doting the rest of my friends get. <sigh>  I have things to be happy about though. I got a leading role in a musical -- I'll be playing Rizzo in a production of Grease in February. I'm very excited for that. I'm going to State Thespian Conference in January. Also excited for that. And finally, this evening I'm going up to visit one of my very bestest friends for a few days. SUPER excited for that.  

     Wow! It was only a couple months ago that I reached 2,000! And that was over the span of more than 2 years! I really appreciate all of your support! I should be posting pretty frequently over the next several months -- I hope, at least. If there's something you'd like to see from me, shoot me a note!
    I will be basing the majority of my work around Dreaming, portraying it in a number of ways. I've got some cool ideas, and I'm excited to show them to all of you!
