Name: Shoka

Meaning: "axe"

Age: Adult

Pride: Uvamizi

Physical Appearance: Bulky, strong, beefy; these are the words to describe Shoka in a nutshell. Nutshells, he could probably break ten of them in his paws with how big they are. Shoka carries a bi-colored mane, technically a tri-colored, due to the part he braids being in between the colors of his main and secondary mane color. Always on his right front leg he carries his oath bracelet, and in his beard are two hollowed out bones that he wears thanks to the monkey that belongs to the seer. He carries no scars on his body.

Personality: 

 Brave: Shoka is always one to offer himself to be the first into battle. He fears nothing.
 Loyal: Shoka has sworn an oath to his king, his pride, and his Gods. He will not waver.
 Educator: Always willing to teach, especially about the Gods. Shoka is down for a history lesson or a more pratical lesson in terms of warfare.
 Zealot: Faithful to his Gods, almost too faithful, if you bad mouth the Gods he will strike you down.
 Stoic: He can endure pain and hardship without showing emotions, leading many to look down upon him and think he is nothing more than a heartless soul.
Stern: If you dare ignore Shoka's commands, he will make sure you regret it. His word is law.
 Stubborn: Shoka wants things done his way, not your way. He is stubborn about anything and everything.
Berserker: Shoka sees red when he in on the battlefield, and he is more aggresive than anyone around him. He goes for the kill 99.95% of the time.

Pre-Group History: Shoka does not remember much of his early life, his mother being killed in her first raid back after his birth. He is the youngest of three, and was trained heavily by his father and eldest brother Avikele. Wrought with grief, his father Kisu lead an unsanctioned raid against a pride to the east, costing him his life and loyalty in his king's eyes. Perhaps that was when the king started plotting against their family. When Shoka turned a season old, his elder brothers went out on a raid with their king, and only Isando returned. Isando claimed foul play occurred at the king's orders, and that was why Avikele did not return home. That night, Shoka prayed to whatever God would listen that his elder brother was now in Utukufu. Perhaps the Gods answered his prayers, Shoka did not know. Nor would he find out until his own death if he was allowed into Utukufu.

And then, things turned out well for his family.

Half a year later, Isando challenged the old king and usurped the throne, turning Shoka into a prince (although he hates using that title, for he didn't earn it). Upon his journey into adulthood, Shoka pledged his loyalty to his king and to his patron God; Mfalme. Upon his first raid as a true adult member of the pride, he killed the opposing pride's king and came out of the raid without a scratch. This act earned him his title: Ironside. After the battle, he took to braiding his mane where the color was slightly darker as well are wearing two hollowed out bones; bones taken from the king he had slain. Sometime during then and now, his brother sired a bastard upon a female, but whether she was a slave or freed Shoka does not know. He holds no ill will for his nephew, but he doesn't care much for him either.

And then his brother gave him the position of Matsara.

He was now one of the three that guarded the king and advised him as well. Shoka's main piece of advice, to find a queen. But who knows if that'll ever happen...

Other: Shoka's patron god is Mfalme, the King of the Gods. Shoka cares not for your other Gods. Shoka likes his tail, he will not chop it off thank you very much. True to his title, Shoka has no gained a single scratch in battle. When he was younger, the seer told him he would have many sons, but who, who will mother his children and bring them into the world?
