Happy Birthday to DeviantArt!

Daily DeviationsI'M A DA AMBASSADOR ![]()
I volunteer my time to help others plan fun activities at DA! I'm not a DA Staffer, just a regular member like you!
Here are some of the things I do as an Ambassador:
I help plan community events.
I run creative activities and challenges.
I support and guide other users and groups to create their own activities.
Connect individual artists with broader community opportunities such as groups or events.
Chat with DA staffers, other Deviants, groups, and other ambassadors.
Here are some of the things I definitely DO NOT do as an Ambassador:
I'm NOT an employee of DeviantArt.
I'm NOT a voice or representative of DeviantArt.
I'm NOT a help center.
I'm NOT an art expert or critic.
I'm NOT a Daily Deviant volunteer. I can only suggest DD's, like all Deviants can.
I'm NOT a monitor for DA. If you have an issue with someone being out-of-bounds, report them directly to DA. I have no power to help you!
Need help with something? Here's the Help Center.
Need to report a bug? Here's the contact page.
Got feedback about DA? Here's the contact page.

More About Me:
You can call me Chi or Chiki – I prefer smaller names – less typing!
I live in New Zealand now but was born in Germany and went to school in the States. This mostly means my spelling is awful! 😄
I'm quite introverted and a homebody but am a bit more outgoing online. My favourite place to be is at home cuddled up with my Chihuahua getting doggie kisses. 🥰
I'm 60 years old and am not up-to-date on the newest jargonisms, acronyms, and such. I have a tendency to use older language terms from the 80s, like 'cool' or 'take a chill pill' or 'OMG!'. Plus many others! And yes, I miss shoulder pads and perms at times!

I studied English literature and business in school. Later, I went back for web design and computer studies. I mostly worked as a web designer and web analyst for corporate and government entities. 🥱
I've always had a love affair with art. My family were high artistic achievers with art in museums and galleries and award-winning paintings and drawings. Unfortunately, I missed those natural talent genes, but I still learned all I could and took every class I could! 💖🎨
I'm now medically retired due to health issues which leave me tired, with shaky limbs, very unsteady on my feet, and somewhat forgetful at times. So please be patient, as I'm a slow one-finger typer. 👇🏼
I love AI art! It has given me a chance to be creative again, not requiring a steady hand, and I can be proud of what I create. It's so much fun describing what I envision to an AI until I get the prompt just right. However, I do often think of the Aldaens (an obscure reference to Star Trek – geek alert!). 💗
When the Bough Breaks, Star Trek, the Next Generation.
My little love, DJ - who has now crossed over - but will always be my baby!
He was a long-haired tricolour Chihuahua and inspired me always to be a better person and try to live up to his love and adoration. He was the best pet with none of the aggressive tendencies for which Chi's are infamously known. He was a great guard dog from at least 10 feet back, pined and whined if we are out of his sight for more than 5 minutes, tried to train us and thought we were slow humans that took a lot of work to watch over and teach, he was a finicky eater, a prolific sleeper, stubborn because he could be, considered me safe-base in all doggy games, considered my husband his minion, and he was by far the best doggy kisser and snuggler! We will miss him forever, this precious little soul that is gone too soon. We love you DJ and always will.
Just a quick note to say I'm simplifying my DA art pages,
for my peace of mind.
I'm no longer allowing comments on deviations for the most part, and will not respond to most notifications. I'm truly sorry, but I'm unable to keep up with it. I was spending hours responding, and it was just too much for me. I love you all and really appreciate the encouragement and love you show me and/or my art. Please consider this my blanket thank you and gratitude. If you need to reach me, you still can through chat, and I'll respond when I can.
