I thought we’d do global holidays this December, but it gets complicated. I was trying for “winter” holidays, but we all know that winter isn’t the same for the Northern and Southern Hemispheres. Also, winter lasts 3 months. So, the dates for these mostly range from December to February with some well outside of that range. Many of these celebrate the Solstice or the New Year. Several of the prompts are about Christmas, since it is celebrated around the world. Some are just about winter. Quite a few of the holidays involve light in some way, since the darkness is longer in winter. I expect everyone will find many holidays they’ve not heard of before; I certainly did.
