I had the urge to make this after stumbling across some arguments about how friends treat each other, etc, etc. Someone made a comment that friends who fought a lot shouldn't be friends at all.
Well, like in most situations (if not all), there's always that instance where a statement doesn't necessarily apply (gotta love exceptions), like this one.
You see, just because a friend has an argument with you or (God forbid!) doesn't agree with you, does NOT mean they aren't your friend. Just because they disagree with you does not mean they don't love you.
I've often gotten into arguments with my real life friends, and we still love each other dearly.
And it's the same case with my cyber friends. Heck, I've had instances where we get in an argument through comments where half of the comment is arguing whereas the other half is joking around (or apologizing :'D).
Now, I'm not saying that constant fighting and arguing ISN'T unhealthy (in some cases
); but many a time, a good argument or so can actually be a great way to grow in your friendship. It also means that that friend speaks for what they believe in and isn't a puppy dog that's going to pat you on the butt and compliment you every which way.
Anyway, as I said, there's always exceptions. I'm sure there are a lot more things I could type in here-- other scenerios-- where fighting or arguing can be good or bad-- but I honestly don't feel like typing a ginormous rant today :'3
So, yeah. Just because a friend argues with you doesn't (necessarily --darn exceptions
) mean they don't love you.PS: Yes, those are tacks shaping the heart in the image I used. Thought I ought to make that clear just in case you were squinting extra hard trying to figure it out >3>""
