Story:

This was the moment that reality finally seemed to sink in. After being shivering cold and often wet, long hours of nothing but the creaking of saddles and soft thuds of hooves on snowy ground, time passing steadily onward, now it finally felt real. In a few short days, Dusty and Sio would be finishing up this long-held dream. 

Night had settled but they still had some time to the camp, but no one had complained because above them the sky was showing off. Bright, magnificent colors swirled and danced above them, casting streaks of glowing greens and brilliant blues across the frozen landscape. It reminded Dusty of being young in Sweden and going on trips to the mountains to see the lights clearer. This was what living was about. 

Suddenly, Dusty felt like a child again; in awe, carefree. 

A small group of riders suddenly decided to take a brief gallop across a flat stretch of frozen snow. Sio was prancing and excited and seemingly asking “us too?” So Dusty leaned forward and let the stud stretch out. Their hooves thudding, the air crisp and biting, and the sky danced overhead. Dusty grabbed the corners of his cloak and held it out like a cape. It billowed behind him, catching glimmers from the sky, and Dusty let out a wild hoot of abandonment. 

This. This was living.

Wow, I honestly didn’t think I’d finish this  I lost part of the file, I had serious art block, and I had little time. I started to really feel like I was not going to finish, after dreaming of completing TWD for so many years. Thankfully, I found a little muse and got this finished. Whew!!
