Apparently one of the things I draw when I feel miserable is a pajama-clad Eric with bed-hair. Go figure.

It's rare to see him with such relaxed expression. Also great work!

Whatever goes wrong (and I hope it's nothing very bad), this picture doesn't. I like to see OCs in normal, usual situations. Eric looks so pleased and calm here and it looks great how you drew his messy hair. It's kinda fluffy. I am also a big fan of this kind of sketchy linework, it gives a special atmosphere.

Thank you ^^ and yes I bet his hair is very soft! I'm glad it looks fluffy the way I intended :]

I'm sorry you're feeling miserable :C What happened?

....Eric is freaking adorable though. Creepy old man I wanna snuggle x3

I've got two separate social gatherings coming up, one of them being a very formal one, and I'm not really a people-person... so it's taking a toll in the form of mounting anxiety.
But having Erics calm face to look at is alleviating the symptoms somewhat :D
(I bet his hair is like, really soft.)

Oh no!! I'm not a people person either ^^; Is it the kind of social gathering where you'll be like.... expected to.... mingle with people? O.o
You can just imagine Eric is there with you, being all standoffish and complaining to you that he wants to get back to the lab :love:
....I bet his hair *is* really soft :D

unfortunately, yes it is :/ it's my wedding. Already everyone is badgering me about it and when I imagine being the center of attention for a whole day it makes me sick.
But Eric would be definitely fun to have as a guest, he can stare anyone down into silence :D

OMG!! Well..... congratulations! ^^;

Errgghhhhh but yeaaahhh I can understand the trepidation about the party =\ I am really hesitant to get married in large part because of exactly that. Well, more just *planning* the thing, which I guess that part for you is probably finished by now? But just thinking who to invite? Where to hold it? How expensive will that be?? Do I really need bridesmaids??

...Fortunately, I live in a rural state, and it might not be that uncouth just to get married in a barn and have the catering be potluck and just call it done :XD: Or maybe we'll run off to Vegas and get married by Elvis >_>

But the actual getting married part, other than the social obligations, is great, right? :D

Well, I solved the whole conundrum around organizing the event by inviting only the closest family (which I have very little of), so it ended up being only fifteen people. All it took otherwise was resist every damn person telling me I need a dress (when I want to get married in pants, I will get married in pants), ordering a table at a restaurant and signing a form at the registration office booking the date. Oh and buying a shirt for my soon-to-be husband. We actually considered the European version of running of to Vegas (running off to... Venice?), but ended up dropping that option since it would probably mean our families not speaking to us for leaving them out of the equation.
And well, I guess I'm too much of a pragmatic person to be all wheee about it. I've lived with my partner for eight years now so it's really just signing a paper confirming that yes we do intend to continue doing that :]
