All three pieces I based off of miharashis photos, using ink and black felt tip pens.

I cannot possibly express in words how beautiful these are. I will refrain from trying and only stare in silence...

Wow, that works out quite well. I didn't think of these three as a series a at all. I usually try to upload always pairs of photos which have some relation. But I know from doing group exhibitions that selecting and arraning 3 works is quite difficult. Also the coloring is really fitting. Keep up the great work. Clap

I picked the first one, parasite, almost randomly from your gallery actually - and had so much fun with it that I wanted to make more. I decided that I want them to have something in common, so I trawled through your photos looking for compositions containing both nature and pipes of some sort :) and I found two more, indeed! It was really enjoyable to paint from your photos, since you've done a lot of work for me, so to speak - picked a great composition, with a pleasant contrast. I had the easy part; just turn it into an ink and pen drawing :) I feel I have improved a lot with the medium progressing from the first one to the last one, thank you for the opportunity!

That's not bad for starting a series actually. :D (Big Grin)  I also take pictures of things with interesting light or color and see much later what fits together. I often choose my pairs from different days or even years. Even later I have enough shots for a 'series . Great that you find sketching my photos enjoyable. I wouldn't mind if you would do some more Love.  Yeah, doing complicated photos in not my thing (or I'm not at that 'level' yet ... who knows). I like my shapes and colors simple and tidy. I want to try myself at sketching too at some point (if I find the time that is ... Sweating a little...). Keep up the great work. High-five!
