Think Small Thoughts

Sometimes, Takai just has to wait for her size to go back to something more manageable... Sometimes, just standing still and trying not to cause a commotion is a challenge all on it's own. This is one of those times.

I was doodling this morning and went looking for a background reference, and then in the end, I decided to remove the lines and see how it'd look just doing some light photo manipulation for the background instead! (Because I realized the alternative was drawing 9,000,000 buildings) XD

For reference: Central Park is 0.5 miles wide, and 2.5 miles long.

Just ran some numbers, and people are almost dust mite sized here to her. This may be a record. Amazing, wish I was there for that.

Well, Takai is cel-shaded. :) I just manipulated the background to get her in there.

She's definitely having a hard time here, I don't even think she can stand comfortably. Thank you though, glad you like it! :D

Nice work! But equipment isn't everything - great works of art have been made with paper and pencil. It took me a while to learn this lesson, but don't let technology/equipment be an excuse. Your creativity is not tethered to your devices. :D

So from my rough calculations she's about four times bigger than her supposed height at the end of TSoSB making her stand 6 460 m tall (21 194 feet) in this picture. That's so tall she could reach up and touch the top of Mt. Everest (assuming she's standing at the base of the mountain) and if she were to stand on her toes she could probably pick airliners out of the sky as well. Only problem is, she's so tall that her head would be so high up she wouldn't get enough oxygen even if she were human sized and being roughly 4000 times larger than the average human she probably would need a lot more oxygen as well.

Luckily, in the fantasy world, we don't concern ourselves with things like 'oxygen' and 'the square-cube law'. But damn, that's even bigger than I thought. :la:

Just for fun I added this Takai to the height chart I made for TSoSB and she completely dwarfs most of the things on that chart. She's so tall that it's only her feet and lower calves that are visible beneath the lowest cloud layer.

If anyone's interested I've made that height chart public and it can be found here: Takai TSoSB and TST Height Chart

How long does it usually take for her to shrink back?

It depends on how big she gets... This time, it's going to take a while. Maybe days. XD
