(Just more pics of the sword.)

This was crafted two days before an event and painted on the day itself. LOL. Man do we love cramming.

I crafted the sword hilt (the detaily thingy near the handle part). If you look at a reference pic, some details are missing. I was having doubts on the outcome of this but it turned out pretty well.

Hopefully I can play with the details more on this someday. :>

This is pretty sweet! Don't suppose you could give me directions on how I could make my own?

wow man how did you make this ,whats it made from ?

hi. this is made of sintra board for the sword base and rubber foam for the details.

I don't really know how to explain how I made it coz I just put them up together, crafted and made this in the end. XD

Im doing a tyrael cosplay and have been stressing over what to make the sword out of, I really want it to be clear so i can have it light up with some el wire or something of the sort, any suggestions? Im wanting it to be light enough to carry around for 4 days with out breaking my girly arms down.

Well, we didn't think about weight problems as this was designed for a guy to carry. It's pretty much durable as we used sintra boards for the blade. But if you want a lighter material, you can use illustration boards for the blade part.

There may be other materials that can be used but apparently we are not yet exposed to those. We normally use sintra or illustration boards for broad swords like this.

As for the lighting, yes you can probably use el wire (sorry I'm not sure how that works though. such material is not available in the local market here in our place. so we are stuck with laser LEDs and LED strips for now.)
