Nest of a Hummingbird

A couple of tiny angels hatched in a hummingbird nest :')

It's been so long since I last had a new painting to post, I've been busy with client work and my comic, but I should now have some time for personal art again. This year I want to branch out from animal/creature art and learn to paint other fantasy things too like fairies, mermaids, angels etc.

Angels appear only when there's peace and kindness in the nearby human settlements, and harmony between humans and nature. They're genderless and asexual, born only by hatching from wild bird eggs when conditions are favorable, and even then, they're a rarity. Seeing one brings good fortune. However, they die quickly in captivity, and harming them corrupts the fortune into misfortune. Predators instinctively know this as well and avoid hunting them unless starving.
