Description

Hey, Look at this!
Since a lot of you guys seem to have enjoyed my Paper Mario: The Book of Ages idea (or perhaps only the drawing, but who cares), I decided to do little pictures on each chapter during the paper adventure.
Picking up where I left off here [link] , let's continue with Chapter 7. Mario's next night sky instrument takes him and his new friends to the Lost City of Muda, or so they thought. A lost city couldn't be called lost if people had found it, so it's back to Countdown Town [link] to find some info. When ask about where they could find the city to Koopileo, the koopa tells them he has a son who's a marine biologist. He then tells them they could find him at Goomsdale High School doing a presentation (Which your partner will remind Mario that they saw him back in chapter 4). Mario and co. travel back to the school to and find the Koopard Kreyfuss, marine biologist. There he explains he has some very promising leads as to where Muda is and is going on an expedition soon, and if Mario wanted to come along, he'd have to meet him back at Kaimán Koast. There Koopard took them to his submersible and charted a course to the deep blue sea. They come to the ruins of the once great City of Muda [link] . But when they're about to enter the temple in there sub, a pillar collapses and traps them underneath it. Just as it all seemed it was GAME OVER for them (the partners even suggest going back in time to save them), an alien USO (Unidentified Submerged Object) came and rescued them.
Inside the USO they find aliens that look just like Alph the Spaceman. Thinking they too were The Great Tick-Tocker's lackeys, Mario and co. get ready to fight, but the Aliens tell them they come in peace and mean them no harm. The leader of the aliens, Betamax explains that they had also come to study the ancient ruins here. They were also looking for Alph, who they sent to find this Muda in the first place. Mario's partner then tells the aliens that they too came here to find the last Night Sky instrument. So they let Mario, partners, Koopard venture in to the ancient temple, with both Betamax and his daughter Gammette following closely behind.
In the temple Mario and co. battle baddies like Honen and Yurarin. About half way through they run across Alph. Betamax tries to get him to come back with them, but Alph refuses saying he needs to find the Star Guitar for TGTT before Mario can get it. a battle ensues and when you beat him he retreats back deeper into the ruins, dropping a key card that opens up a small room that was constructed by Alph to house a teleporter back to Countdown Town (This along with the Girlie hat you receive in Chapter 1 stay with you every time you go back in time, so you can fight the boss again, much like you did in Majora's Mask). The two aliens run up ahead, while Koopard Kreyfus stays back to study the ruins and the creatures that inhabit it. Mario goes forward deeper into the temple.
Eventually they come to the Last room of the temple. There they find the room covered in murals with a center pedestal that until very recently had something there. Betamax is seen looking at the murals and tries to make sense of them. The main mural shows what looks like a large comet that's descending down upon a city with a wizard who appears to be summoning it and a maiden cowering in fear. It is here that Alph appears to tell them that's correct, and that he interpreted it as a prophecy of TGTT and his comet of doom. He goes to explain that when he was sent to find this lost city he ran into TGTT who was also looking for it, and when they found this place it was TGTT who came to this revelation, and that this is where he learned of this summoning and took a magic chest back with him to the clock tower. Then Alph was sent back down here to retrieve the one Night Sky Instrument down here once they learned that Mario was looking for them.He then pulls out the Star Guitar and shows it to Mario and chuckles at Mario's misfortune, for though he was just beaten by Mario just earlier, he had a secret weapon. He pockets the instrument and pulls out a remote control. Then from the hole at the top of the room comes down the giant octopus Gunion, that has a weird controlling mechanism on his head, which Alph then climbs aboard the little cockpit. The battle for the Star Guitar ensues.
After Mario defeats the Alph controlled Gunion, the contraption on the octopus's head blows up and out comes a defeated Alph and the Star Guitar. Gunion, who regained his conscience becomes enraged at Alph who precedes to chase away Alph leaving the Guitar behind. Before Mario can grab the Star Guitar, Betamax interrupts Mario to give his interpretation. He explains that it must have been a story from a forgotten generation of this very thing happening before, that this wizard was stopped and his maleficent powers sealed away forever. He then goes to assume that The Great Tick-Tocker must have unlocked the secrets of this place, but was unsure of how or why. With that he tells Mario to take the Star Guitar Thus triggering the "END OF CHAPTER" sequence. Then you get to control Peach (Like you would in the previous two Paper Mario games) who is in The Great Tick-Tockers clock tower Countdown Town. With her story ending up with shedding some light on the story so far like the characters TGTT, Alph, ect.
Now back to Mario, who with Koopard Kreyfus in their submersible is waving goodbye to the aliens while on the surface of the ocean, who tell Mario they will eventually get Alph back and keep searching. And with that they blast off in their UFO, leaving Mario and co. who are then dropped off by Koopard at Kaimán Koast so he could go back to study the ruins more. So now Mario has all of the 7 instruments.

Yep, that sums up my idea. And I'm amazed that you read the whole thing! Unless you cheated and skipped most of it, you cheeky little.... Anyways, if you are wondering, some of my ideas before might have changed (Like how I got rid of that chef bob-omb for the Bomb Boo in the previous chapter). And if you are wondering, since this is like Majora's Mask, you can go back in time anytime you want, and you can "redo" chapters as some side quest will need those story arcs to be complete.
