Description
Hey, Look at this!
Since a lot of you guys seem to have enjoyed my Paper Mario: The Book of Ages idea (or perhaps only the drawing, but who cares), I decided to do little pictures on each chapter during the paper adventure.
Picking up where I left off here [link] , let's continue with Chapter 3.
As Mario and the gang make there way into the Minami Mountains, they again run into Wario and Waluigi (Sorry, I did not draw them for there isn't much room for them, but don't worry. I'll eventually draw them(probably in Chapter 8) who know what Mario is collecting and want the instruments for themselves, and for no discernable reason remember their last fight with you. So that means they have a new trick up their sleeves. They fight, Mario wins (or by chance, you could lose), and The Wario "bros." scurry off swearing they get Mario next time. Well, anyways Mario finally reaches Furui Village. Upon reaching the village, They find out that a terrible oni has been eating all there crops, and if this persists, they will all starve! And since Mario is, well.... Mario, he wants to help them out. The villagers are greatful for their generosity, but don't think there is anyway to stop it, as it is an oni-ni-kanabō and is invincible or undefeatable. Strong beyond strong. Though they do mention that an old samurai in there village may have an idea. They say he goes by the name of Piantantarō.
As Mario enters his house, they meet him, and notice he has one of the Night Sky Instrument, the Quasar Drums. He's surprised to find more who have come to try and defeat the terrible oni. he goes on to say that the only way to get rid of an oni one must give it a Foul Saru Bean, but that no one has seen one for more than a generation. But he has heard the myth that there maybe some old seeds left in an old cave to the east. The pianta also tells them to look out for a Ninja that he had told of this earlier, and has not seen since. So Mario and pals head off to the cave. As they reach the cave, they find the girl Ninja ninji surrounded by Kappa Troopas. Mario helps her out of the sticky situation. As they exchange pleasantries, Nina, as they call her, finds they both are striving to achieve the same thing, so she decides to tag along.
So you get the seeds and return to Furui Village. But before Mario could plant the beans, Piantantarō informs the party it will take months for them to grow. Of course, Mario and friends obviously don't have the time to wait that long. Thankfully the old samurai mentions a legend of the southern monks and there miraculous fertilizer that can cut the growing process by a fourth of the time. So, it's up to Mario to head to the south of town. Battling kappa troopas and boos along their way south, they finally reach the monks, who are glad to part with the fertilizer. So Mario finally has the seeds and the fertilizer. Now the farming commences (I'm not sure how this will go down. Will it be interactive farming simulator or not is what I'm saying). Soon Mario has some Foul Saru Beans (This along with the Girlie hat you receive in Chapter 1 stay with you every time you go back in time, so you can fight the boss again, much like you did in Majora's Mask). As I failed to mention earlier, you can run into the Oni anytime you like in the village, but you are unable to afflict any damage on the monster until you get the beans. So as the battle starts you must use the beans on him to do any damage. So the battle commences and you defeat him. The villagers rejoice and as a sign of gratitude, Piantantarō gives Mario the Quasar Drums. Thus triggering the "END OF CHAPTER" sequence. Then you get to control Daisy (Like you would with Peach in previous two Paper Mario games) who is in Countdown Town. With her story ending up telling you that the next Night Sky Instrument is in Goomsdale High School outside of town. Now back to Mario, who is waving goodbye to the villagers. Nina, understanding the gravity of the situation Mario and pals are going through decides she has to continue tagging along. So now Mario has five party members who now have three instrument out of 7.
Yep, that sums up my idea. And I'm amazed that you read the whole thing! Unless you cheated and skipped most of it, you cheeky little.... Anyways, if you are wondering, some of my ideas before might have changed (Like how I got rid of that chef bob-omb for the Bomb Boo in the previous chapter). And if you are wondering, since this is like Majora's Mask, you can go back in time anytime you want, and you can "redo" chapters as some side quest will need those story arcs to be complete.
