im so oppressed gamers need to fight back imo
-----------------------------------------------------
I am so so so SOO excited to announce that I am now a writer for Learn MMD! I hate keeping secrets so you can imagine how antsy I've been for the last week. My first tutorial is an updated version of the Culling Tutorial, and you can find the first part here: learnmmd.com/http:/learnmmd.co…. The second part will hopefully be uploaded by the end of next week, so stay tuned!

I don't need to tell you guys how important LearnMMD is for our community, especially for the English speakers/ Westerners, but being part of a website that I've looked up to for 8 years is an amazing feeling. There's a community of writers that all have the same interests as me, and that's free education for all MMDers. I wouldn't be where I was today without it, and neither would most people either. I feel like this is exactly what I want to do right now, and I've found something that makes me feel happy (but also very, very stressed lmaooooo but it's so worth it). Thank you Reggie for allowing me to become part of your group of writers, I'm so excited for the content we are gonna make in the future :D

Also yes that is bisexual lighting, I love my flag colours and I've been dying to do some gradient work with PostPointLight, so I'm thrilled I could finally do it. This artwork was also a rejected piece from The Art of Gaming, and although I loved the concept, it was kinda too much of a serious work for something so light-hearted. So I'm also very happy I got to use this piece for something :D

I also made a transitional video for this art piece as I enjoyed making it so much, you can view it either on my Twitter here: twitter.com/chestnutscoop/stat… or my Instagram (link tomorrow I'm tired hehe)

The fact that I first looked at LearnMMD when I first started using the program back in 2013... I'm honestly proud and happy!!!

Also, that controller looks beautiful! Judging by the lack of lightbar at the touchpad, it's the first-gen DS4 hehe

It’s so pretty! You did such a great job with the lighting, it almost looks like a painting.

What is it like making an image that focuses entirely on one specific part of the body? I imagine it’s a bit difficult.

Ah tysm! The lighting idea was what I developed this whole piece around so I'm glad you like it!

It was easy and hard at the same time, easy because it's a very simplistic piece so it didn't require a lot of thought going into the posing and such, I just referenced my own hand holding the controller. It was difficult trying to get it to look as realistic as possible with NCHLShader2, if my laptop could run raycast I would have deffo used that to make it look as real as possible ^^

Wow no way! Our group is much bigger than I anticipated it to be before I joined, it's such a nice surprise to see so many people involved in it! And no problem! Yours was for sure the best I could find, I really appreciate all the extra sliders and features it has <3

Proud of you Rhi!! LearnMMD is such an integral part of the Western MMD community, and writing for it is something very few people get to do. Congratulations are definitely in order!

AAAAAAHH, congratulations. I just found you as I got back into MMD work recently, and your effects and work are giving me the strife to survive and keep pumping out new work after so long.

T_T thank you so much for saying that, that really means a lot to me. It's so hard coming back from hiatus, when I came back last year suddenly Raycast was a thing and everything was so different lmaoooo
