24x24in. watercolor on 140 lb Arches paper. After making the title I''m craving ice cream. I'm having a blast toying with different color palettes. First it was purple with "Lake Mary, Flagstaff AZ" and now it's pink at Lake Mormon.
.
On my way back from Flagstaff Summerfest on the 4th of July weekend my sister Roxy and I stopped to take photos of the various Lakes back to Payson. At the viewpoint we noticed a guy with a huge camera. Then he pointed out a bull elk waaay in the distance laying down next to the water. I brought him closer in the painting.

What a lovely piece!
It would be lovely to see it in person.
It has a tranquil feeling to it.

It was a lovely sight in person. A cool afternoon after spending the day in the heat.
