Her Ambitions Prologue – The dull patter of the rain through the silence of the room was rather soothing. Clarisse had her pencil gripped decently tighter than needed in her left hand, tapping it melodically to her chin. Her ears picked up a slight little ringing noise, as sometimes happens when it is too quiet. She jotted down another line to her paper, after having put some thought to it. Her brain felt blocked. Clarisse glanced up to check the time of the clock that was perched above the whiteboard at the front of the classroom. She sighed a little, having relaxed a bit because class was over in a couple minutes. Her grip loosened on the pencil as she inscribed another line into the paper. Clarisse’s attention was drawn to the window, seeing something move out of the corner of her vision. She did not notice anything after she glanced at the window, though. Nothing had changed. She tapped her foot a few times on the floor, her boots making a hollow, but quiet, knocking noise.

Hi there! So- I'm thinking on another story, it's going to be a sort of horror story. It's about, in summary (or what I have so far) a girl who becomes friends with the new transfer student, all for the transfer student to slowly pull her away from all her other friends in time, and consume her time. the girl's best friend since they were little, then magically dies/disappears. slowly, the people around her get picked off, one by one, because the transfer student gets so obsessed with her, and that's all I have so far. the main character (the "girl) is gonna be named Clarisse Albertine. the transfer students game, aka the "killer" or whatever is Ophelia Desai. clarisse's best friend is named Theodosia (Or "Dizzy") Cherith. then, some of the backup characters/clarisse's other friends are named Liberty Lozano, which they usually just call her by her hast name, "Lozano," and Dibella Greathouse. i thought all these names fit great, the story setting is in a small town somewhere, and it's

Intense pressure clawed at the man's head. It was a truly terrible feeling that filled his entire body, making it hard for him to sit up against the cold wall of the closed-in cave in which he resided. Voices echoed all around him in a confusing pattern, bouncing off the walls. The voices kept saying his name, making him even more confused. “Where am I...?” He managed to choke out, cringing from the pain that raked his body. The voices immediately stopped, and no answer came to him. “I asked-” He started, gritting his teeth. “Where am I?!” He twisted around, disturbing the cool water that he sat in. A voice, louder than all the rest, yells his name: “Chiame.” Causing him to jump, flinging droplets of the now-glowing water against the wall. “Whats happening?!” He screams, desperately trying to escape from the water.
