Pink by Chemi-ckal Pink by Chemi-ckal
Hey!!
I'm sorry having been inactive for so long, but I finally finished college so i'll have more time to draw and paint.

I have been making a lot more traditional art than digital though, so I'm thinking that maybe I should post some traditional art here instead of only digital. Not sketches, just more polished traditional pieces in general...

What do you think? Would you like me to share some traditional works or just stick with digital here on DA? Let me know ^-^

Hiya! This is really cool. If you want, you can post a bit more traditional artwork to catch up to your amount of digital art. Then you can post both traditional and digital artwork. Nice job anyway :)

Thank you!!
Actually my boyfriend made it for me, I don't even know what kind of paper it really is since it looks like watercolor paper but it doesn't handle water very well  Sweating a little...
But if you are looking for one, I've heard good reviews on canson's mixed media sketchbooks ^-^

I must try them ^_^ ive really only used winsor and newton and Roland Rowley but the winsor and newton paper seems well enough just too smooth .

Like I said on the forum thread, this is very beautiful! Gorgeous, lively colors, and, upon full-viewing here, the textures are lovely! I like how you applied the paint using different levels of concentration on the ponytail part that's over her blouse. Her face is very sweet!

Thank you very much!!!
That's what I'm loving about gouaches, they give very opaque colors so its easier to achieve a more striking color pallet, at least compared to watercolors and some inks which is what I'm used to ^-^

Thank you!!
Glad you say that, I was afraid that traditional pieces would be overlooked because the DA community seems to prefer digital ones
