I have yet to create an environment I am happy with. I joined a challenge in ArtStation thinking it could be an added fire to start the course "Environment Design" with the one and only NathanFowkesArt in Schoolism. Here´s the first week, studying color/value/hue from images that captivate us. I had a grand time, it was tough for sure, it´s amazing how colors depend so much on context to shine through or create a mood. It was hard and mind boggling. I am loving this class and while I probably won´t make it to the challenge, I will be posting the environment piece I end up creating. I thought the scene from Coco would be smoothest (blue, violets, red, orange, and orange-yellow), but it ended up being the toughest for me, and I still can´t figure out why. I guess I got worried about the time, and I tried to hurry through. I can´t imagine how others manage in 20 minutes. It´s so wonderful when a great artist is not only amazing at their craft, but also great teachers.
