Rainbow Pool

This is Rainbow Pool east of Groveland California, a natural swimming hole along the Tuolomne River just a few miles downstream from Yosemite National Park.  It looks too picture perfect to be natural, doesn't it?   Don't swim in the Merced River, swim here instead.

Xander literally has nothing to say this week.

Wow. I love the calm scenery. And the colours. This would look nice on the wall in a living or working room. Or -since it's so nice and calm- at a dentists waiting room.

This looks even more attractive at the current temperatures we have here ... I'd love to just slide into that water and drift away ...

Thank you! it drizzled today a bit up in the sierras, surprising the heck out of me during the middle of summer.  Was very cooling so I'm not complaining, but if we get more of that my tools are all going to rust (ok, rust more) hopefully none float away :D

This is so spectacular. May I ask you, do you use regular brushes to do that or have special set of your own?

Thank you!  I suppose a mix of both!  one really nice brush pack that I've found is this one: the loish brushset by loish   I really like the one labeled 'oil pastel' though it's not a custom brush it's one of Photoshop's many defaults.
