29K ViewsHad a couple old silver age marvel comics of Ghostrider growing up, always thought he was super cool looking character. Was a very fun/chaotic/messy character to paint.
Also- can someone explain the blue version of Ghostrider to me?
thought about making an alt version with the blue rider, but figured I get more info first.

The blue version is Johnny Blazes brother. See, his mother's family was cursed by Mephisto. This curse said that her first born so would become the ghost rider. That's why she ran off. So Johnny was A ghost rider, but not The ghost rider. When his brother realized his heritage, his flame became blue rather than yellowish orange

Fire effects look pretty cool with the strong shades of yellow and red, it gives such energy to the character
. The desaturated yellow shade for the background really fits the character of Ghost Rider from my point of view, it's like he's riding on the desert.
As for the blue version of him, I'm not sure but I apparently that only happened in Spirit of Vengeance (the Nicolas Cage movie), which to be fair was not good and is also not canon to the character, so you shouldn't worry too much about that, regardless though a blue version of this fanart would be great, too.
