My first ever A3 piece. This took me over 2 months, a lot of work and I only got the hang of it half way through. The shading was extremely difficult to control over such a large surface area so not everything is the best, especially the mesh glove, it was just too much for me.

UPDATE: I got this drawing signed on 24th February 2012 and Cheryl was once again blown out of the water by it, you can see a photo of Cheryl holding it here: [link]

Beautiful!!!! :+fav:
How did you get that deep deep black? Just with a 7B pencil? Does it "shine" a bit or did you find a way to get it a mat finish?

I cheated in Photoshop after I scanned it haha, I'd normally do it with charcoal and it'd be matte but charcoal gets too messy.

Ahahhahaha!!! You're smart :-P
Yeah charcoal is messy. I have found a nice oil-based charcoal pencil that can let you achieve a nice mat black but I've never used it to fill wide areas, just pupils, eyelashes, nostrils, etc. Still looking for something that gives a good result even before a photoshop adjustment :D
Thanks for replying to my question :)
