13-aug-2015 : many icons improved
13-febr-2016 : updated for libreoffice 5.1
04-aug-2016 : updated for libreoffice 5.2
08-febr-2017 : updated for libreoffice 5.3
15-sept-2017 : updated for libreoffice 5.4
01-febr-2018 : updated for libreoffice 6.0
HOW TO INSTALL
For LibreOffice 6, download and install this extension : 1drv.ms/u/s!ArgKmgFcmBYHhSOVhO… with Tools > Extension manager.
The theme packaged as an extension is the easiest way to install (no admin rights needed). This feature has been added in LibreOffice 6.
Previous versions of LibreOffice don't allow themes as extension, you have to follow those steps :
1. Download (button at top right of this page) and rename zip file to images_office2013.zip and copy it to this folder :
Linux: /usr/lib/libreoffice/share/config/ and /usr/share/libreoffice/share/config/ or /opt/libreoffice<version>/share/config/ (use a symlink)
OS X: LibreOffice/Contents/Resources/config/
2. Open LibreOffice, go to Tools > Options > LibreOffice > View and change the icon style to Office2013.
3. Close and re-open LibreOffice.

And installing an extension via their website is not more user-friendly at all : you still have to download the file locally, then in LO go to Tools > Extension...
So it's going to stay this way, an unofficial extension theme.
After installing the extension close LibreOffice *AND* close the Quick Starter too.
Finally one COOL DESIGN for LibreOffice.
Thank you very much.
Any idea why this doesn't work with Windows 10 Home edition and Libre Office 5.4.5.1
Thanks
PS: The old version looked way better than the new symbols - a pity that libre doesn't include the former symbols just like that.
For your version, don't use the oxt file, you have to download the zip file given by the Download button on top right of this page.
And follow 1 2 3 instructions.
but at least this explains the situation - thanks
Thanks in advance!
It contains exactly the same icons as the extension that I will publish later on their website, when I will be abled to.
The extension is a .oxt file that is much easier to install and update on LibreOffice, especially when you don't have admin rights on your system. This feature (installing theme via extension) has been added in LO 6.0, that's why.
I will keep .zip and .oxt files containing exactly the same content.
.zip usable with all versions.
.oxt usable with versions 6.0 and +.
Do you have yet some schedule plans to update this icon theme for LibreOffice 6, which beta2 is already available?
There seems to be several new icon resources added, as mentioned in previous comments too.
libreoffice.org/download/download/?type=win-x86_64&version=6.0.0&lang=en-us
(moreover using this icon theme, I have added several own icons in my installations of LibreOffice, because there seems to be missing in LibreOffice several icon resources for very essential tools
If you have icons or suggestions to send me, do not hesitate to contact me via pm.
And my major worry in Libre Office is that it seems to lack resources for icons in icon themes of many tools. So as far as I know Libre Office project whould add those icon resources for to include them in icon sets.
I mahve made separata icons for tools that I need very essentially, and then I have just connected these in for tools in tools / customization (for toolbars that I have customized; see in my previous message).
I am using MS Office at work, and LibreOffice 5.4 at home. Your icon-set makes transition between these two programs really easy! Your icons give LibreOffice a lightweight, professional appearance.
we add on the LibreOffice conference in Roma the functionallity to support external icon themes as an extension. It would be a pleasure if you could offer your icon theme here and at the LibreOffice extension webpage. The benefit is that the user can download the file and add it. No copy to some specific paths.
In addition there are some changes (additional icons needed) for LibreOffice 6.0 in spring 2018. Would be awesome if you could contact the design group of LibreOffice.
Thanks for your work

hope you will help to make Office 2013 also available for LibreOffice 2016 and the fancy new notebookbars. design.blog.documentfoundation…
please activate them in master build at experimental and test the Office 2013 icons also there.
Thanks a lot for your work.
Thank yoy, great job!
Please note that the "Download" button gives a 404 "The page you were looking for doesn't exist." message…
only needed to do this. (after the rename of course)
cp images_office2013.zip /usr/lib64/libreoffice/share/config
i looked for other directories that looked like the targets mentioned in this post or other comments but i couldn't find anything else.
Here's my search command; rpm -ql libreoffice-core.x86_64
This wil show you were files are installed for the package libreoffice. you can also grep for anything like share or config like this.
rpm -ql libreoffice-core.x86_64|grep -i share
good luck guys..
sudo ln -s /usr/lib/libreoffice/share/config/images_office2013.zip /opt/libreoffice5.3/share/config/images_office2013.zip
..to make it work in Ubuntu 16.04, Libre Office 5.3.1.2
When the locations above didn't do the trick, I looked for the file image_galaxy.zip and placed the images_office2013.zip in the same lolcation.
thank a lot.. you awesome
I only had trouble with point 2.
This helped me:
LibreOffice, go to Tools > Options > LibreOffice > View
Under the headline "User Interface"
change Icon style to Office2013 and choose your Icon Size
So the new name will be images_office_2013_theme_for_libreoffice_by_charliecnr.zip.
Then follow the procedure to change the theme (Open LibreOffice, go to Tools > Options > LibreOffice > View and change the theme to Office2013. Close and re-open LibreOffice.)
