I find this theory fascinating, from the point of view of the drawing it shows well the image of the horror towards the genocide of Raziel, certainly the scene has disturbed him a lot and seeing him in that state of reflection in itself an image of the good character
What are the lines on his skin, are they scars, tattoos, painted, natural skin patterns or something else?
I guess this portrait would also work very well painted in (desaturated and dark) colors.
the lines are some kind of facial markings. Apart from the gills on his neck, all other lines are markings.
when the razielim genocide happened, all vampire clans were already on a higher evolutional level. In the Soul Reaver I intro we see Raziel with his marble-like skin markings and later in the game we see the Rahabhim with their own clan markings all over their bodies. So, even if this genocide happened several centuries befor the actual game timeline, Rahab already must have developed his gills and some of the procursor markings then (I guess, I had an actual concept drawing this).
I'd like to see this in colors (since Rahab is my favourite lieutenant) but I actually don't know if or when I'll do that ^^"
