Harpers Ferry Tilt Shift 1 v2 by CharlesWb Harpers Ferry Tilt Shift 1 v2 by CharlesWb
Readjusted the tilt shift, I think it makes it better...

Taken from the outlook of the Harper's Ferry, WV hiking trails. It used to be a major hub for Rail Roads, and before that it connected the Southern part of the C & O Canal to the northern bit.

Harper's Ferry, WV United States in early Fall.

Isn't that the place John Brown raided in the 1850s?

it's real, they used a tilt shift effect which blurs the background and the foreground of the picture making it look like the town is small and close up

Wow, I thought this was a miniature at first.

how you manage your lens to focus that far? when i do that i have to set the focus to infinity, and all i get are sharp macro, or perhaps nothing more than a close up portrait.. :O

Why are the foreground and the background out of focus? Is that what 'tilt shift' does?

Thought this was a model at first, looks like a really nice photograph but is the tilt shift a bit too much / kind of distracting?...
Congrats on the DD though!

This is breathtakingly stunning in not only the image itself, but how it is taken.

It looks like a very finally crafted model village, based soley how this place looks!

Needs cropping, but other than that, it looks amazing. The blur on the bottom is distracting.

Have you obtained the effect at post-processing or by using some tilt and shift lenses? Anyway, the image is superb!

How do you do that? That Tilt shift? Is it something you do after taking a picture or during?

I'd like to take similar pictures!
